Ok, so the leather on my steering wheel had started peeling just next to the thumb grip bits on both sides so I took it into Renault and they are going to replace it under warranty 
-I was all ready to argue my case, but no need, just a "yep, we'll replace it" - I'm impressed.
I'm quite shocked that it wore out so quickly really (it's not even 3 yet!). So the question is does anyone have any ideas what I should / could do in order to look after my new steering wheel to make sure a similar thing doesn't happen again?
