Brake pads upgrade - Cup

Will need new front brake pads again soon - I bought Renault pads previously at £50 for the pair and fitted them myself.


Am I able to upgrade to a performance pad without affecting warranty?
and if so:


Whats the best upgrade?
Ive only got 2 months of the first year warranty remaining so it probably doesnt make a lot of difference warranty wise.

Im going to be ordering the EBC Kevlar ones from http://www.motorsportworld.co.uk/detProd.asp?ProductCode=EBC-1369&PID=116396motorsportworld as soon as I can confirm that theyll fit the mk2 172.

I was going for the KTec kevlar pads intially but these are a bit cheaper.

Theyre only ~£20.

They also do the ITG filter and B+M quickshift which Im waiting for answer on fitment-wise.

I have the K-tec kevlar ones @ £30 a pair on my Clio.

Excellent performance & not too much brake dust IMHO.

Fred - thats what I suspect.

On the motorsportworld website they have EBC Kevlar and EBC Greenstuff kevlar pads. The Greenstuff pads are fair bit dearer.

Theres a similar price difference on the KTec site b/w their kevlar pads and the greenstuff pads.

jon_r - Yep will be 3rd set - not yet but just planning ahead - Im on target for 30,000 miles in a year!!

I changed my first front set at approx 12-13k as they had started squeaking and were nearly out - (due to working in Milton Keynes and driving around all day - more roundabouts than you could ever imagine!!)

Pads listed above are loads cheaper than Renault too!!! Ill have me some of them.
