Blo0dDiamond: The TeamAriane Clio Project. str0ng.

had the clio back for a while now, not had time to do an update but will now.

Picked it up from the lockup in wales in mid jan, taxed, mot'd and insured.

Driving it down the M56 and the wiper flies off, the warning lights come up and the car sh1ts its full allocation of oil. I repair all this get it back home and it starts to go slower and slower beofre it barely runs. Leave it in the snow...

A mech friend did a clip test on it which showed injector two was fried, was lucky enough to get three injectors off specialist breakers (ChisnNic's nicole), went about fitting them this saturday, all fuel lines off, soaked the injector in WD40, replaced, start the car, it roars into life and is as quick as the day BTM fixed it, take it round the block, pull up, smell petrol, open bonnet, fuel lines ruptured.... soooooo....

Next step is fuel line(pink marked piping), got some camber bolts, studs n nuts to go on, and a PH2 bumper ready to be sprayed, when I've fixed the lines it'll lose the y0zza race for a y0zza stealth. but yeh, she's sort of back, in a style only we could manage ffs.

In the meantime, whilst its sat there i cleaned all interior leathers today and replaced LED 501s with newer stronger ones.

wanted to track the b*****d in the next two weeks too...

Any ideas what we're looking at for that fuel line?

The fuel line.. Next to nothing I'd imagine, off of any of the 9,000 ph1's that are being broken at the moment. Or as Mike says, brand new.

Good to see it's back on the road.

nah you can see the rip in the line, when you prime it hisses out, its 99% due to the pipe rubbing on the belt next to it, never done it before though.

looks a bugger to do.

It's easy to swap.

Unclips down under the car by the drivers seat. UNclip there. Tie string to lower end. Pull pipe out of top leaving string in loop. Tie same bit of string to new pipe. Pull back through. bit fiddly getting it back in the clips, but simple enough.

hi.

Fixed the fuel line last week, got a full line from specialist breakers in Accrington via chrisNnic. fitted it on the road and made use of the trickle charger we have to get it ship shape. Hoovered it and left it ready to go to BTM for its exhaust change.

took it on friday for a y0zza stealth back box. I mean the full race system (including decat) is brilliant, but its simply too loud for me day to day in a daily... Yes I've become boring haha. Took a drive from Manchester over the derbyshire moors, rang its neck and got to donington for BTCC media day. Cold day watched the cars then got in it to go to Birmingham. turned the key and it really struggled to start, twice it did it, third time i booted the revs and it was ok...

The car has been showing STOP and the Oil light for a while, however the car has had oil in it, I thought it might be this niggle starting to come home. Anyway got to BTM and left Zoltan to check, this is what I love, he looks in the engine and goes 'Oil Pressure Switch'.

He walks off and I'm kinda just stood there twiddling my thumbs. He walks out, walks in and has another switch in his hand to which is fitted in minutes. Lights off on the dash. So simple even I could have done it, NOT.

Whilst fred was changing the exhaust over I refitted the front splitter , It would have only taken him five mins but he had a CLS AMG Merc in and was working between cars.

New exhaust fitted, took it for a drive, oh my word... Warren (Brownbear/forceindia) has always raved about the exhaust but my word its fantastic. its not loud, but you know its not OEM, theres something there. Got a lovely burble to it and allows you to hear the intake, when you come on cam at about 5k it rasps and gets louder but thats what you want. you want to know when the car is working and you want it to be nice when your cruising at 70/80. to be able to hold a conversation in the car is a first for me! I'd honestly recommend the exhaust to anyone, coupled with a decat its simply brilliant.

Also sourced some OEM rear dampers and had them fitted and the Spax adjustables taken off so i can sell them, I wasnt aware you can get Cup dampers on a phase 1 so unless we coilover the car we'll switch to them soon when I bin these god awful Apex springs off. The ride on the OEM dampers is alot smoother, although I've only done motorway miles and not stretched the car since I've swapped.

The cars had a rattle since I put it back on the road, it seemed like it was coming from a mount on/near the gearbox, had fred take a look at it and the dogbone mount is shot, its basically making the engine vibrate and in turn the exhaust vibrate and hit the heat shield. I want an upgrade so I'm looking for a Powerflex item today as Ive used their bushes before and they are top drawer.

So plans, Im a little weary of doing much as I'm stuck living at my GFs for the time being and she lives in an utter s**thole where people/kids have no respect. I know its a knackered old PH 1 but it still deserves more than that.

The interior is in great condition, riad wants to go PH2 interior but the car is fine as it is inside so I'm hoping to ween him off that, I lost the fascia for the headunit so theres no music in the car atm, something I'll sort this weekend. the drivers door has a big dint and the OZ F1s BADLY need a refurb. Front brakes are 80% gone and the control arms need replacing according to BTM. Its all bits and bobs but its a RenaultSport, when are they ever done??

Got some camber bolts in the garage to go on and saw another PH1 with the rear spacers that work via the hub, they make the stance look so much more agressive and apparently a chap on CS sells them so will get them bought too. HID is coming out as its pikey and some 110w E-Marked Xenon filled bulbs we have on other cars going in and I'm fitting some RenaultSport door sills when its above 0deg that I picked up!

Riad will be using the car soon, mid april, but until then I'll keep tweaking it for him and getting it A1..

BTW the yozza stealth is amazing, i dont know if i said it?
