Nathan's 172 Cup - N11YFE #frankenstein

I first posted on here back in August 2014! :eek:penmouth: I was intending to start a project thread at the time on my 172 Cup but I became more active on the Facebook group rather than on here, but after all this time here we go! And posting up some photos on photobucket, not much has changed but it's something!

I do have loads of images of it, but not on the computer I am on :tired:

When I first bought it back in August 2014 with just 43k on the clock.

The first modification I did was get a KTR Dogbone mount, and as well as their induction kit so both of these got fitted.
A short while after that I bought a OMP Trecento steering wheel with snap off boss assembly as it was on offer a the time.

I bought a Corbeau Clubsport Bucket Seat with an OMP Subframe, for the money these seats are is great. Fitted with a 4 point Sparco Harness.

After getting my brakes rather hot one evening at a certain location somewhere in England KTR braided lines, Brembo HC Discs, Ferodo DS2500 pads where ordered along with some higher boiling point brake fluid.

Unfortunately some fun does come to an end!
The clio decided it wanted to !@#* itself partially a little bit of my fault, but in short term I "Buzzed" the engine I was gutted. Threw the timing out, bent some valves, clutch decided it didn't really want to be in the right place anymore.

So with the engine out the following was replaced:
- Clutch kit
- Valves
- Cambelt
- Waterpump
- Cam shaft seals front and rear
- AUX Belt
- Gearbox Mount
- Engine Mount
- Spark Plugs
- Gearbox Selector Rod
- Crankshaft Oil Seal

Quite a costly situation, but obviously not everything down to the breakdown.
After re-fitting everything and the engine the car developed a misfire thought the timing was out, timing checked was fine. Plugs and coil pack were replaced, still persisting. Started unplugging injectors whilst the engine was running and a faulty injector was to blame as the engine note didn't change. So, they got replaced.

First wash when it was back on the road again.

I do look to do more to the car! But whilst saving for a house deposit, driving 40 miles a day for work running on VPowerNitro+ all my money is tied up with that at the moment.

Don't have any pictures on my phone of the PMS Decat System with no centre silencer but do have 2 videos on my YouTube account.

A 40-110mph video not long after the following was fitted:
KV85 Ignition Leads
KTR Induction Kit
PMS Decat System with no centre silencer.
