1999 Clio 1.4 s timing belt or chain

Hi. I have a friend who is looking for a more insurance friendly Clio 2.
I have seen a nice looking ph1 1.4S in budget and local. It is nicely looked after with impeccable history but he says it has a timing chain, not a belt.

I wasn’t aware of any chain driven Clio engines. The reg is W181WOE
can anyone help me know if it is 8v or 16v and if it is belt or chain driven?

Belt driven, 100% It's the E7J engine iirc from when I had one
