172/182 strut top knocking fix

instead of letting some renault monke..... i mean mechanic loose on your car

you need 2 washers (1 per side) that sit under the suspension top caps

dimensions are as follows

outside overall diameter = 40mm
internal diameter of hole = 18.5mm
thickness = 3mm

where you could buy them from i have no idea, i'm looking into it
 
I've got some of about that size in the garge I'll try find out where I bought them there a seemingly perfect size.

yeah the ones on the V6 are zinc galvanised steel, but i can't see why ali ones wouldn't work just aswell
 
well i was just thinking that if i was to get some stainless steel then that would be a bit harder wearing than ali .

if anyone gets some made up them let me know and i will take a pair off your hands :) dont mind crossing your palms with a bit of silver for it either :D

will sell the box to a company to be made into a mass selling product ;) ;)

Where does this washer fit???

As according to the parts info trophy top mounts same as v6???

takes 5mins to fit them.

unscrew the top mount then place washer on the shoulder. re do top mount.

normally renault will grind out the hole where the mount sits. but this seems to be a better fix.

easy to fit, very easy to fit

Steve the top mounts on all mk2 clios are the same, 1.2 16V is the same as a V6 255

only the V6 has the spacer fitted

I can get 34mm od with 18.5mm internal, 3mm thick in SS for 12p.

Is the od too small????
