After taking the bumper off the mounts were already there behind the blank. So mounted the lights and removed the trim.
To cut the hole out i followed the outside of the circle drilling lots of little holes. I then joined these up with a knife. After filing and sanding them down to a finished...
Always wondered what this does. They come with speakers. One side is a clearance hole the other is not threaded bit still grips the screw. No idea what it does haha
My campus has blanked fog lights. Im going to order some lamps but does anyone know if i can just cut the circle out of the blank and put them in? Or do i need to order one that has always had the cutout for a lamp. Ive nicked this picture from ebay. Its off a mk 3 but you get the idea (i hope)...
As the title says really. I bought a stubby C2 aerial but the reception is awful, all i can get is radio 2 and even thats not great. Is this to be expected? If so are there any other short aerials that still retain a decent radio signal?
Cheers thats sound advice. What is this side pipe? All i'm really wanting is a bit more grunt and induction kits are a nightmare for me on insurance so that sounds sweet.
My mates given me k&n from his 106. Would it be wise fitting it to my clio? I can't think of any problems occurring apart from it maybe not fitting but i can make an adapter at work so thats cool.
cheers
Filled my car up today and driving along i could smell a strong smell of petrol. Thought nothing of it but when i got out the smell was stronger. Quick look under the car and there is fuel on the outside of the tank and over the back axle. Are there any common faults that would cause this? Ill...
Near the golf course you drove past me. The car had black badges and rs grille. I didn't wave i was on the edge of running out of petrol and concentrating on driving as eco friendly as i could to tesco haha.
Thanks for replying. The brakes work fine so i don't think there is a problem with them. And doesn't sound like a wheel bearing. The outside of the disc has some corrosion on, could this be a cause?
Both front wheels squeak when in a central position. This stops when you touch the brake. I have tried copper slip on the back of the pads and this did nothing. Im really stumped as to what this could be. Can anyone shed any light on this?
thanks
anyone know where i can get some bullets that say 1.2? i can only seem to find ones that have 16V on them. not too bothered about how they look gonna get them sprayed anyhow.
cheers.
I am building some hub adapters. They are going to be the type that bolt to the hub and then the wheel bolts to them.
Just a quick question, what do you guys think is the shortest amount of thread i can use? Im thinking 15mm but if i can go shorter I will because want these adapters to be as...
The fuse will of been added when your amp was wired up. It will be somewhere along the power line from the battery. Ideally it should be as close to the battery as possible.
Just changed my drop links but was unsure of how tight to do them. They don't seem to get tight the rubbers just get more squashed. Can anyone shine any light on this? Thanks
Ahh ok then. Thought id hit the jackpot with a free amp! Would it be worth the install? I wasn't going to bother with an amp but if i've got one might aswell stick it in.
Ive been given a tornado 100w amp. Its a few years old, ive googled but i can only find very little info. Out of the little amount i found one said it will blow my speakers? Model number is AMPIC12 if this helps.
Thanks any help would be appreciated.
Yep it sounds different depending on which way you turn, ill jack it up at the weekend and double check before i get some parts ordered. Thanks for the help mate.
Can anyone help me diagnose this? Theres a whirring noise coming from the back of the car, the pitch changes as i go faster and it still happens if i knock it out of gear when going down a hill. I think it could be a bearing but the cars only done 40k???
Anyhelp will be appreciated.
Also i have...
Thats great thanks. One more question if i may, do you know anywhere i can buy hubadapters from at a decent price. All the ones im finding are pretty steep.
Just bought some 182 looking wheels but they are 17s and have 5 holes. Im gonna have to get some hub adapters so they will fit my clio. Just wondered if the 20mm or so that the wheels will stick out will lead to any mot or legal trouble etc as i believe you cant have the wheels protruding from...
I added new cable to back of the headunit ran this to crossover. From the crossover new wire to tweeters, and for the woofer I connected this back to the stock wiring, was too much effort to run new cable through the doors.
