    Thanks for the replies. Bodging it is a last resort but at least it would pass the MOT. I have tried the switch in all manner of scenarios but to no avail. Thanks again.

    Just to update I am no further forward in resolving this issue. I have independantly (using an external supply) checked the relays attached to the UCH and all are working as they should when receiving power. There is also power to fuse F33 (the headlamp washer fuse). Having acquired a RS Tuner...
