I had a shock go on me at the beginning of the year, and had similar results as you, car just wanted to swap ends rather quickly, just one reason why I get under the car every couple of months and check things out.
I think I might have fixed it, replaced one of the spark plugs which looks discoloured and the car seem to be driving good, took it out today and I did not get a misfire at all. But if it was the coil pack, would it not produce a misfire all the time, hot or cold?
I think I might have found the problem, that discoloured spark plug got taken out today and replaced with a working old one I had laying about, and the car seemed to drive good, I took it out for a drive over to Brands, then stop at the little car park at the top of the hill, let the car rest...
Replaced the Coolant Señor mate, about £28.

Not to sure where to start with this problem, for the last couple of weeks I have had a misfire with the engine, it only happens when the engine gets hot, say going out for a drive, then letting the car sit for 5min where the engine heat can build up, and then starting the engine again which...
Really, would that not bring up a fault code of some kind. I also get a engine start problem when it's hot, but I have also changed the Crank Sensor which did not solve the problem.
Did that before I put them back.
I just went out for a drive, and when the engine got hot it started misfiring, but this time I had the fault code reader plugged in, and even with the emission light flashing, I still cannot get any error codes from the bloody car.
The only thing I found yesterday when I checked the spark plugs, one of the plugs seemed to have a discoloured insulator, but the tip looked fine so I'm not too sure what to make of that.

So I did some looking around to my problem, am I right in thinking that the Coolant Sensor is responsible for turning the fan on, and if faulty the fan will not turn on.
Hi
So I seem to have a Radiator fan problem at the moment, as in they do not turn on at all, Can anyone here tell me which Relay is the one responsible for controlling the Radiator fan?
I swear I'm jinxed with gearboxes, every single hot hatch I have owned has needed a new one somewhere down the line, and the clio is not playing ball at the moment, I think me and the car is on borrowed time because I now have a grinding noise in first and second gear if I go anywhere near the...
So I have this recurring misfire which is really starting to piss me off. It only happens when in traffic jams, and the car does allot of stop starting driving, if you turn off the engine for 2min the misfire disappears and the car drives fine again.
I have check the leads, spark plugs...
I'm not to sure what it is too, the emission light came on the dash for a split second which I was hoping would bring up a fault code, but when I did a scan no errors codes come back, so I have no idea what the problem might be now. I'm just going to leave it and see how it goes. The one thing...
Hi
I seem to have this odd engine judder from the car at the moment, it only happens when the car is at cruising speed, like when you are just touching the throttle peddle to keep the car at a constant speed, and it happens in any gear. The engine still pulls hard, but I'm just a little lost as...
It's good stuff, I have been using it for the past 3 year in my GTI and now the 172, never had any problems with it. And it's made by Shell, so cannot be that bad?
I didn't think there was anything Cringe about the video at all, just someone given there honest view on a Clio Sports, and being positive about the experience, good vid.
Well I jacked the car up yesterday to check for any play in the wheel which is a sure sign of a dying bearing, and to my surprise there is none, so i'm thinking it's a driveshaft problem.
