If I had the money id buy it back haha. Im back in a Clio 182 now, the car I was building was an MX5 Turbo which is all completed. Got a MK1 Fiesta to build next
Can't believe this is the same car I sold to you.. Hell of a turn around considering the last time I saw it, I half stripped it to sell and had completely ripped it apart to make it a lightweight track car! Good effort..
Do you think its best I sell my genuine Renault timing belt tools or offer a rent-out service with them if thats an option? Ive used them to do my belts and obviously no need for them now.
Started on the timing belt today:
LOL at the tipex marks - Shows its been done tidy before
The tool is in the exhaust cam, was a fair bit out as was no where near the inlet cam or the bolt hole!
Cam timing set, crank way off - Had to loosen belt and do it without the belt...
Done a little more work on the Clio today, removed the inlet noise reducer valve and carbon canister. Made an air intake from where the front fog light was to the air box. Just need to get something to connect the pipe to the fog light surround a bit better.
Checked the belt/dephaser as no...
Probably been asked a thousand times, but track day/sprint tyres. After a good all rounder to fit my Turinis. So either a 205 45 16 or 195 45 16. Any suggestions guys? Currently thinking Federal 595 RSR however, concerned for their wet weather grip?
Anyone had this issue on a 172 Cup? Once it warm it seems to idle likes is Cam'd as well.
Issue when driving is : drive along, dip clutch, change gear and it seems to hesitate when pressing throttle again. Any ideas?
Got an issue with the 172, when cornering hard the front passenger side is rubbing on the main metal part of the front arch, where the arch liner should be. Anyone else have issues and a fix?
Running Standard shocks, Cooksport Springs, Turinis on 205/45/16
Going to be running with the Welsh Sprint and Hillclimb Club and the rounds they are doing. From what ive read im going to go into the Modified Road class!
Lower ball joint was a NIGHTMARE to get out of the hubs, literally the worst ive had! Went to fit the new ones and they have me the wrong ones! Cheers!
Still waiting for my Cooksport springs to turn up. Fitted the new rear calipers which were on the breaker onto this one, just need to bleed...
Stripped the suspension off the car today ready for brand new genuine Cup Shocks on Cooksport Springs
Also got new tie rods and lower ball joints to replace the same time! Just waiting on the springs now! :D
Decided to look at the sketchy exhaust on it,
hmm seems to be hanging down, best check the mounts
