Anyone with clip in south yorkshire?

I've removed the recaros from my 56 plate 197 and fitted a set of 200 seats and now the airbag light is on, is there anyone in south yorkshire with clip who can reset/reconfigure it as the mot is due soon. Thanks

    Tom’s 55 ‘RB 182’

New car looks smart mate. Just get 4 new federal rsr's and have done with. Having different width tyres across the same axle is an mot fail too although youd be unlucky to get pulled for it... suppose ya could say its a space saver lol

    172 Cup.....What to do...

If I were you mate id put a decent set of pads in the front and book a trackday, you dont have to go full track car and ruin it for day to day use like most people do. They are good cars for the money and I would say you will get £1500-£2000 depending where you live if you decide to sell it...

Camber washers - are they worth it?

    Apex Springs on Track

i'd agree with the above, i had apex on mine and swapped for cooksports, the cooksports are a better "all rounder" and better in the wet but I would say apex were better for track use, just get some new cup dampers to go with them and with a decent geo setup there wont be much overtaking you

    Front brake squeal (182)

Do the ultimax pads have a red "brake in" layer? ebc yellows with that layer squeel usually until thats gone

    Disappointment at Brembo discs

when its parked up, leave the handbrake off and in gear if its on level ground, get the handbrake adjusted for more clicks too so when you do use it, it works the mechanism more... doubt you will have any problems with the rear brakes unless its sat for a very long time if you do those things
  15. B

    Front brake squeal (182)

Ultimax are oe replacements so shouldn't squeal.. they usually come with shims did you fit them?

difficult to locate a gear at very high revs

For the sake of 12 quid for a new febi lower mount it would be daft not to change it while you've got the tools out. I changed all mine recently to febi oe replacements apart from the dogbone (evol) and was suprised how much better it was after, cars on 96k by the way

    Cup shocks VS the world

Got cooksports and cup dampers on mine and its good on the road but a little soft on track, dont mind as its mainly a road car anyway, just fitted a whiteline which has made a nice difference too. geo is set at -2 deg and 15min toe out on front end and -2 deg parallel toe on the rear.. doesn't...

    Jim's Black Ph2 172 (Just like everyone else's!)

i didnt mind apex when i had them fitted, no good on country lanes though, too bouncy.. bilstein coilovers are rated highly on here and you can get them for under £600 i believe

    Jim's Black Ph2 172 (Just like everyone else's!)

love the impreza mate, i was looking at an sti or an r32 gtr but like you say, having so much money in a car means its always in the back of your head that if you come off on track its gona be an expensive mistake... thats why im sticking with the 172 for now. I think the white wheels suit the...
