Just pull your dipstick out and see if the oil is milky. And check your coolant expansion tank to make sure there is no oil in there either.

You could try clear silicone buddy, sticks like s**t to a blanket. I'd only use a tiny dab in a few places rather than a full strip but that should hold it.

Id go anthracite mate. I think white wouldn't suit them and gloss black would make them look small. But at the end of the day its your car and your choice.
