I just fitted a set of these (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/320950693349?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649) to my car and got a problem.
The water doesn't lift above the top of the bonnet, basically it's not hitting the windscreen at all.

My rear high level brake light hasn't been working for a wee bit, at first I assumed it was just the bulbs but I got a friend to replace them all, and it's working fine when connected to the mains at home.
He also tested the connection from the car itself and said it's fine, so we've come to...
I agree with that, was looking at listing around 2k.
Love the car though, changed my insurance to my girlfriends corsa and will reinsure when I get my no claims in 6 months, planning on getting it all upto scratch in that time frame, including getting the paint situation sorted.
Cheers for...
Jw really, struggling to afford running it atm so :/
Artic Blue 182 FF - 04 Plate
MOT till April 2014 and a brand new 6 month tax disc ready to be placed on at the end of this month.
80,000 miles
Cambelt, aux belt + dephaser done a year ago at Falkland Performance Centre (with receipts to...
Fitted genuine new rear discs/pads to my Clio 182 as Falkland Performance told me the discs were in some state and one was warped and causing the knocking.
First proper attempt at anything like this, took 2 hours, had to purchase a torque wrench and 30mm socket so cost £28 all in. (Cheapo...
I bought my Clio 182 two weeks ago and on the drive home started getting a knocking noise from rear passenger wheel, the clips holding the pads in were missing so replaced those and it sorted it for around 2 days. Now I've noticed the knocking getting worse + both of my rear wheels are dragging...
Really got no clue now.
I took the pads out, replaced the kit, wound piston in, checked bearing, definitely isn't that as the disk spins freely when the pads are off. I also made sure the pad/piston were lined up correctly.
It's like the pad closest to the piston isn't as secure as the other...
Yeah that's what I reckon, he said the previous owner pressured washed it and water got in some stone chips... but that wouldn't explain the missing bumper inserts. He worked in a bodyshop too, so reckon it had some stone chip damage etc and he tried a respray. It isn't too noticeable tbh but...
Haha yeah, I had a 1.2 Clio Dynamique before that but sold it to help fund for this, and was driving my girlfriends Corsa while I looked for the right one.
Really loving it so far, so quick, got 2 new uniroyal rainsport v2s put on yesterday and what a difference already, it feels relatively...
Just bought my 182 and really wanting to give it a good clean... but after looking in all these threads etc I've got no idea where to start...
Is there anyone who can tell me a few products that would be good enough and hopefully cheapish as well? Would a pack like this give a good clean...
Will do. I'm going to order the brake pad clips and sort those first, if it doesn't fix the issue I'll see about getting new rear discs and fitting them myself.
Cheers for the help everone.
Picked it up yesterday, 77,250 miles (went up by around 500 since I saw it 2 weeks ago), 4 Previous Owners. Cambelt kit/Aux kit/Dephaser all done in August 2012 at Falkland Performance. Had a great run back and really enjoyed myself. It's very very quick haha (Car previous was a 1ltr Corsa :o)...
Right so I jacked the car up, and the rear wheel definitely isn't loose, if anything the exact opposite... the wheel was a struggle to turn (with one hand mind) but shouldn't they spin freely? Car was in neutral and handbrake was off.
Here's a video... excuse the heavy breathing (f*cking wet...
It's literally the exact same as this, probably a loose wheel then! :o
The car was mot'd the day before I bought it, possible the garage didn't tighten the wheels properly?
Exhaust is on tight, doesn't seem crashy/get any worse over speed bumps etc, only knocks when the car is moving slowly and doesn't happen when I'm reversing... :x The steering wheel position makes no difference either, the video was taken with the wheels straight.
I bought this 182 yesterday and test drove it through there with no sign of this noise so I believe it's happened on the way home (bumpy country roads etc) although I was driving relatively slow as I was a bit nervous.
It seems to only happen at slow speeds and sort of when braking, mainly...
I just bought my 182 and it developed a knocking noise on the way home, turns out one of the clips on the passenger side brake pads fell off and the other is just hanging in.
Wondering if this would fit...
Sorry about the double post but couldn't edit above.
It passed the MOT but has a few advisories, nothing major though.
I got insured from Admiral for a month as a temp car on my current policy for £80! result, as the only temp cover website that would insure me wanted £40 for A DAY!
So I'll...
Will do mate! He's buying his dads 197, his cousin has a Racing Blue 182 and I even spotted a renault van haha so think it's been well looked after. Just hope the MOT gets sorted out soon.
Hopefully be coming to a few meets soon. :)
I go into glenrothes weekly dropping off/picking up the girlfriend from college you might see the Clio about soon. :)
It's in Newburgh, was about a 30 minute drive there... I think the Clio will be real fun on those roads back through though haha.
