Well.......
The 3 of us all went to a meet at m.k the other night and whilst coming of roundabouts and running on straights of about 3/4 mile at best there truly wasn't anything in it. What really suprised us all was how well the little clio's held their own against an Astra vxr, evo 7 and rx7...
As per tiltle....
3 of us so far having a little meet and some food, 8pm at xscape.. anyone else fancy a meet and a drive?
East of England seems a little dull....
I've recently purchased my cup and after reading through the paperwork I have (extensive) I wondered if anyone knows of the car or named people below? The cars had 7 owners and looks to be very well looked after, curious as to what's been done to the car as it has a rolling road graph, claiming...
Don't agree.... If the said mini and lambo had the same engine and weight..... My money would be on the lambo, better handling due to chassis etc.... my point... mk1 vs cup chassis, even if the lambo was slightly heavier.... i know where my money would be...
You stand by yours, i'll stand by...
'quick blip in 2nd for the noise' sounds like my misses hair dryer lol.....
Mine loses traction in second even with brand new 888's - that's power ;)
A mini is alot lighter than a lambo.... does that mean the mini would win round a track...
Looks as slow as in vid clip...
Lighter from factory, again obvious, cars year on year become heavier to safety, etc.... it's not all about how light the car is, handling is more important..
Classic - lamo..... ;)
Gav, questioning yourself already lmao.....
I'll answer for you...
1. Faster - no!
2. Lighter - stating the obvious as yours is stripped!
3. Rarer - ask yourself why ;)
So what exactly am I to be jealous of?
The mk1 will probably be stripped more than the other two and at best, induction kits, inlets, maps etc on all cars, it's a bit of fun at the end of the day... Was just curious as to which would be better suited? Straight line I'm thinking the mk1, but any car can be quick in a straight line, I...
Ummm... After watching the above vids, it seems a mk1 may well be the quickest? Having said that I still believe alot will come down to driver ability, car set-up, tyre choice and which track..
Just a bit of a long read lol... just having a quick read, his car looked like a proper track car build. Ours are more strip the cars, few basic mods, bucket seats and to have fun in. Whilst I appreciate the mk1 will be slightly lighter, it's not all about straight line speed, more about corner...
