You're correct about it coming up a million times I'm afraid - thats the dephaser pulley rattling away. Not a problem as such, folk have run them like that for a long time - don't suppose you're due a timing belt change in the near future?

You can definitely mount bikes on the back of a 1*2 - last one I saw was on a Trophy! Saris, Hollywood or even Halfords would just use wide hooks to hold onto the top, sides and bottom of the bootlid. Would only have to make sure you get one compatible with spoilers if you've got a Cup

Might as well keep this zombie thread going. Just got hold of a replacement stub axle for my 182. Went for the thin based option (RenParts were happy to supply based on what I told them) as I'm on standard suspension. Have I made an @rse of this? Can't tell if it's thin on 172, fat on 182 or...

Mark, er Helensburgh for the next 2 weeks then Lenzie, Artic 182 in standard trim (+ Skoda splitter, cause cheap)

Noticed that my near-side near tyre was looking pretty abused, so took the car in (182) to have a look at the alignment. Found out that it's rocking 25 minutes of toe-out on that side, not exactly ideal and explains why things have been getting a bit interesting at speeds that raelly didn't...

My 182 does pops n bang even with the proper cat and two silencers - these cars all seem to be a little "interesting" when cold

Could someone confirm that a 182 doesn't have a fan for the climate control sensor, and it's just the sensor itself poking slightly out of a small hole in the light surround?

Took the temp sensor out at lunchtime, seems to be working fine (measuring with a DVM). Mixer flap next?

Yeah ignore that comment. It'd be an internal sensor screwing things up. Anyone know how many a 182 has ?(1 would be the preferred answer)

Actually, that might be a theory. Had noticed that the A/C seemed to be trying to come on more often. Would the ambient display not be off too in that situation?
