Because of a previous conversation on here about another one in the area. I take it because you have a big post count and are a club member it means you get to decide what other people post? :clown:
Whoever he is he is a complete and utter c#nt. Cut up 2 people making one need to hit the ankers then went round in the outside lane to go right nearly causing another accident. No one is perfect but that was just dangerous.
That would be me.
Locked up on a slippy patch and hit the curb on the central res, its not bad tbh. I wasnt going quick enough to hit the signs on the roundabout so its just things like hub, strut, wishbone etc that needs replacing. Will have everything thats broke off by tonight and make a...
Didn't see this thread before the event. Spotted plenty of cs's out and about but i was more focused on the job at hand. I was out in car 56 (Blue Pug 206), it was a great event from inside the car and i hope it was as good for the spectators. There seemed to be plenty about, going along the...
I used 205/45's, they are not any lower as the rim is narrower it makes up for the difference. Cant say i noticed anything changing with the ride. Apparently they are a little faster on track but i cant vouch for that.
Go for 205 wide instead, thats what most do (myself included). Much more choice and cheaper, they fit fine as long as your not running daft low on coilovers.
BMC panel filter is the one to go for, if i remember right it was about £40 at most. My exhaust was all standard, just cut the cat out and welded a bit of pipe in its place, somewhere like powerflow will do it cheap if you cant do it yourself. There was a slight change in sound, it wasnt a...
Looks nice, i still miss my red one. I had h&r springs on mine after trying a few different ones i found it more settled on the limit and alot less crashy at low speeds. I would also reccomend removing the second cat as it will still pass an mot without it and a panel filter for a little better...
I doubt we where one of the 'entertaining ones', i was sitting in with someone new who has only done a few events so i was co-driver/instructor for the day. I will be out in my usual seat on the Jack Frost in a couple of weeks in the pug, should be looking for a good finish on that.
No i wasnt in the clio as i had 4 people coming down with me and theres a little more room in the jeep. I was out codriving so didnt mind the cold. Felt sorry for the spectators and marshalls. Yours was the only clio i spotted.
It just so happened to have a curve in the bit i had spare, narrowed it down and it was spot on. It has plenty of clearence on the sump. Its been tested too, hit a very big rock that was hiding in a puddle in Dalby forrest a few weeks ago, without the gurad ive got no doubt the sump would have...
I would suggest people have a quick look at the standard plastic one and use it as a template, i did one for a mates 172 using chequerplate i had spare. We use it for road rallies/12 cars and navigational events and its been fine. Its just as easy on a 197 too, i now run a 10mm kevlar guard...
Cheers, your right i am from Washington but i have a supplier of carrots over that way for the other halfs horses.
The 2 most expensive hobbies in the world- me rallying and her horses :dead:
Thanks for the compliment about the car, not had it long and i'm still unsure about the black wheels....
As for John Stone and Steve Simpson, i know Johns retirement would have been genuine as he was well up for it in the conditions, apparently he had some proper cold weather slicks for the...
The only one i know that didnt start was Andy Fenwick in the Accent WRC, a few other top cars seemed to develop mehanical problems early on....
I didnt think there where many more off than usual, alot of the cars off where in the usual spots. That bit on the video were he has the moment is...
