I know what you mean. Seems like a factory reset has solved the VPN issue. Will try bluetooth later and see if thats working now. It's just s**t you could do without tbh.

Just straight VPN in the network settings which also needs an extra tap to get to now. It's for viewing CCTV and some other internal via a web page. Just gonna wipe it and start fresh see if that solves any isssues.

Lost the cog when pulling down slider from top, needs pulled down twice now. Have to press and hold bluetooth in the slide down tray to select device instead of the small writing underneath to switch between devices. Bluetooth doesn't work for me anymore. Will not pair new devices and says...

The model number according to Disk Utility is SV300S37A240G

I'm running a Kingston drive in my 2011 iMac and don't use a temp sensor or software and the fans behave normally. I've had to use HDD fan control in the past on other iMacs and have a spare key for that if you need it. It seemed to work well without any issues.

Sounds like somethings not right if it's snapping mounts. Have you checked the alignment of the engine?

Have a search, there's a combo of buttons and ignition on that should calibrate them.

What happens if you prime it with the black ball/pump thing before starting? It should go solid.

I'd start with a PRAM and SMC reset and see if that makes a difference although I doubt it will. Failing that get it into Apple as there's stuff in the logs that can indicate more that the diagnostics doesn't show up, it wouldn't be the first time I've seen one of these with faulty graphics.

Cracked solder joints in the door modules might be the culprit.

Not worth it. You'll need a whole new heater box which is a dash out job and a new loom for it too.
