Hi all!
Just wondering what you would choose if you had the choice between them, think they both work out similar prices (if you keep the RS tuner).
Also i fill up with 98RON fuel about 75% of the time but sometimes i have to use a station which has only 95, if i was to get the RS Tuner with...
Ok thanks that's great :) ill give them a ring and see what I can do, I guess it's an obvious tactic to give a high ish renewal price as most people just pay it, especially if it is a lower price than the previous year which for young drivers it is likely to be!
Thanks guys. So Chris, can I actually get the price from online of the admiral group insurers? Or would I not get that price as I'm already on a policy with them? I'm a little confused now! And yeh I was reading up on the no claims and that seems like it starts getting pretty complicated...
Well yes exactly which is what I think I will do. Just strange the quote they gave me is a lot more and multicar is supposed to give a discount. But as the guy above said could be down to online discount maybe.
They are not multicar nope. But I'm pretty sure there is no contract or whatever, so basically the multicar is a waste to do again as for this year it will actually cost me more money. I reckon it's a standard trick they pull as once everyone is with them they know maybe most people CBA to...
Yes in my own name. Live in a low band insurance area. Mileage put down was 8k I think and parked on driveway,£250 excess. I have 2 years proper no claims- may have been confusing how I wrote it. VRS, do you reckon they would match the online price? Or are you meaning they wouldn't?
Not sure if this is the right section but I have got my insurance renewal through. I'm 22, have 2 years named driver no claims and have been driving since 17 with no claims( named driver no claims though!)
currently with admiral on a multi car policy which my mums car and sister is also on.(...
Just got mine today, anyone know if a decat would be a problem if they do this safety check thing as the emissions light (Which usuall doesnt even come on) is on and of course when they check underneath it will be pretty obvious...?
Hi all,
my 182 has been feeling a bit light and skittish at the back end. I have had no knocking or major issues but especially at higher speed the car feels especially unstable. I initially put it down to it being a small light car but I have just been cleaning it and I looked under to chec...
Im 22 with no points or claims. I put in quotes for my renewal this April at which point I will have one years no claims and 5years named driver no claims (doesn't make much difference I don't think) and for my 182 it's around £750. Think a s2000 was around £1500. Not exact figures as I can't...
I reckon the photoshop of black / anthracite looks wicked! Mean looking car, would love an S2k but also at 22 insurance seems a joke, I can afford it but not sure it's justifiable?! Some s2000's also look pretty plain looking but this is not one of them, not even sure what it is that makes...
Continuing about go pros. I think for skiing there are some great options I have seen people do. Putting the camera on the end of a pole I think looks great!
Evil giraffe, sorry I understand all the aperture stuff. I worded my answer slightly badly which is why I can see you would have thought otherwise!
If I'm shooting in AV mode though surely the f stop makes no difference other than DOF. As in upping to f16, how will that help to not blow the...
Sounds good. So your gona take your dslr up on the slopes?
That's the one problem I have with my camera. It takes very very good photos but it can be a hassle taking around all day from the weight of it and secondly there are some places and things that I just wouldn't take it. I would love to...
Don't quote me but I believe a 10-20 is just a wide angle lens. It will distort the image slightly but it is not classed as a fisheye. I'm pretty sure a fisheye lens is another set of lenses so to speak so you need to look for a fisheye lens.
I personally hate the fisheye lens look. Anyway...
Just adjusted my post as I didn't quite mean mode :p
AV for me is my most used mode I would guess!
I have heard this sunny 16 before. Is there any technical or theoretical type reason why or how this helps? I must confess I have just put the aperture at whatever would give me the correct...
Hi guys,
I'm newish to DSLR's but I think I have picked up most of the basics and have a pretty good understanding of how most of the features work.
I am going away to Dubai in a few weeks and want to get some nice shots. Has anyone got any input onto any must have bits of equipment I should...
Haha. Mine doesn't like my 182, it's decatted but still silenced so probably not half as loud.
My friends hate sitting in the back as well as they all complain its really noisy and gives them a headache haha! Oh well. Less weight lol
Interesting. Thank you both for your input. So Harv am I right in summing your post up by saying max power is unlikely to be effected by a large amount. But what will change more so will be the point at which the "power band" comes in? So jealous of you doing the karting, I have always wanted to...
Chip, you seem to know your stuff about engines. I'm an engineer myself and did a couple of modules on IC engines, suspension geometry, drivetrain etc.
i had done little on 2T engines but know the basics. Going a little off track I wonder if you know about the motocross 2t engines with the big...
Lol this thread. I think haters have hated. Not sure why there are such strong views on something that was done as a bit of fun.
It would make a bit more sense if this was a green peace forum or the like but it's a car enthusiast one. There's people here saying this guy looks like a chav with...
Thanks! I think i would say just go for it, i noticed some one else had said that as a single shot the scene looked pretty average at best and i found mine was somewhat like that. But i stuck with it and gave it a try and i was surprised that the outcome was actually a lot better than how the...
Hi everyone,
tried a star trail thing last night and got the results shown here. Was quite pleased with it for my first ever attempt but would ask for any advice people might be able to give to improve the outcome or tips they have found.
I used just the kit lens on a canon 550d at 18mm and...
Interesting stuff! Think some people need to read into it more before thinking the cost of driving is so high for these cars. I agree it certainly isn't cheap but to be honest the cars a lot of us have on here are likely to not cost much more than an average car in my opinion.
This guy is...
