I was hoping it was going to be an easy fix but maybe it won't be! I have sourced a throttle body at a reasonable price which I know is a good one so will try that. If that fails would you take on the challenge of fixing it?? :)
Okay I have a phase 2 172 which keeps hitting limp home mode randomly. The code shows up as p0120. Which it's throttle positions sensor/switch a circuit. What is the switch a circuit part mean? I have changed the pedal but cannot try it as it is a track car. But I have discovered that when the...
Just got chance to connect it all up. Got the earth on to the bulkhead. Positive on to the orange wire which is showing me a 12v, the only one of the 3 that does. And the other on the coil negative. No lights? I'm confused! Must be something simple which I'm missing!
That looks good. Cheaper Than the omex too. By reading the install guide that either goes to the coil or the rev counter signal this is where I'm struggling, finding the correct place for them. Im guessing using the rev counter would be easier and just connect to a certain wire on the plug?
Looking at the omex sequential shift light to install on a phase 2 172. Read thought the installation guide but where do I find the coil negative wire. Done a search couldn't find a concise answer. Any other experiences of fitting these?
Yeah it was fairly violent shaking the whole car. Ive just started looking over it and the drivers side cv joint is very loose. so thats for sure the cause of the vibration but im not sure how this would of affected the gearbox as the bearing before the gearbox is fine.
Well i had my first race at snetterton yesterday and was running 6th overall. braked for a corner downshifted 5th to 4th nothing out of the ordinary but it woudnt go in to gear. tried all the gears and it will only go in to 5th. There was a serious vibration from the start of the race but i...
I cant seem to find a definitive answer, basically i need to remove the steering lock on my 172 in order for it to adhere to MSA regulations. So whats the easiest and quickest way to do this? Im still running standard ignition barrel etc. Thanks. Oh dam note to self must renew cliosport membership!
might file out the top mounting hole and see how much adjustment i get, can i use the standard bolts or use the camber bolts as well as slotting the top hole.
Okay i need some more camber on the front of the clio (172) so the only option is slotting the hub, anyone know roughly how much you slot it by? cant really seem to find much info?
Cheers Luke
Im sure renault would have released one but looking for a standard torque curve for a phase 2 clio 172? Just want something to refer back to.
Cheers Luke
yes full welded in cage, door bars etc. just didnt know how much the door depended on the inner skin for strength. Will get the grinder out this weekend then!!
Well ive stripped my clio ready for racing in 2013, engine is almost complete and im looking around the car to get that extra kilo of weight out. My question is about the doors. Will the door have enough strength without the inner skin? i plan on cutting the majority of it out but leaving a...
thats what i have, twingo cup. hammering down b roads around 36mpg but on a run and going to work during the week normally low 40's. Not great but livable! i traded in my fabia vrs diesel for the twingo so was a little bit of a shock from 60mpg down to 36mpg!!
got a standard 133 older shape though before the facelift one. as a general run around, bombing down back lanes its loads of fun but still love the 172 for the track. twingo always feels slightly under powered. all in all both are great cars!!
