Hit the nail on the head there mr Fred surely if it was timing it would have damaged more than one valve. People on here are so quick to jump on the timing band wagon regardless of the fact that these engines do s**t them selfs occasionally
New clutch needed changed loads of them for same problem. The trick with putting into reverse is to select fith gear then down to reverse that will stop it crunching
07973 498464 ring that number and ask for Lawrence tell him Kirk from Trostre past his number on. He from Swansea and does all my ecu decoding and programing. But normally needs the original car to decode or erase the data. But give him a ring anyway
^^ How much wod you want for that delivered? I got my old system of my 172 after I had my stainless so was going to try and fit that on. I was going to cut a hole in the bumper save buying a 172 bumper.
Can someone tell me how much work it would be to put a 172 Manu on a 182.
Reason being I have bought a 182 with no exhaust but have a spare 172 mani. Not really bothered about performance as it only a cheap banger for using on the occasional auto test
Sorry to hijack a thread anyone know where I can have my idle adjusted? Since fitting my cams and ketc remapping it it sits at just over 1000 rpm. Andy did say this was to aid smooth running on idle but to be honest can get a bit annoying when sat in traffic.
Has anyone had any experience with these valves, was going to buy a new set of genuine Renault ones for my high comp motor I'm building but keep seeing more and more posts about people's cars dropping valves and really don't fancy that happening to mine
Its standard bore and the head is having a light reface just to make sure its true. The guys concerne was the ammount the pistons stick out of the block, I have never built a high comp engine before so im just going off his word
Just woundering what head gasket people use with there high comp engines? The chap thats building my head said that a standard gasket wouldnt be up the the job and he is going to need to do a squish test or something? Just looking for ideas where to look
Get it up to ktec racing, being as they were involved in the devolopment of the cams i believe they would be the best ones to sort a map out for them. Dont get to hung up over the numbers tho as a lot of people say there printouts are a bit optimistic, but never the less they provide an excelent...

As said above its bacteria living inside the car, you will notice it more with the air con on. Get a spray from local motor factors and it be rite for a bit
Been speaking to ktec this week about a set of 438 cams but have been told that they wont be having any available stock for around 3-4 weeks.
Seen these on ebay and woundered if anyone has used them? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110876066690&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:GB:1123...
