Yeah but that was because they decided to change it. Never seen one with a head gasket failure as not an known issue that I've seen or heard of.
I worked in parts before here and I never sold any either. I reckon it leaked as they either fit a duff cheap gasket or didn't do it right.
I...
Head gaskets and rocker coversare not something I've seen before to be leaking, but always a possibility I suppose.
Doubt it'll be the turbo feed or return hose.
Well the three we had in with the sump gaskets weeping / leaking. They lost FA really, 1 we noticed on a service and the undertray caught it all. The other 2 were new customers and they were getting a second opinion from their local but none of them had spots on the drive etc.
I wonder if the...
The sump gasket / sealant (seen 3 of these leaks now) all NSR corner, so I would suspect that as you have had the cooler seals done.
IIRC you have to remove the gearbox box to drop the engine sump on the 642 engine.
EDIT - I assume this is the interface between the upper sump and engine, not...
I was buying them trade as I run a garage. I sold them on as someone messaged me who seemed pretty desperate, so I got myself some uniroyals as I'm selling it anyway.
But I paid £90 + VAT each
I googled them after and saw a few other firms selling them. WST are now sold out.
Resetting the adaptions won't do anything because it will already have been done after the engine swap. Plug it wouldn't just give you fault for one bank only.
Hate to say it but sounds more like they've ran out of ideas and hoping you take it to then give them a day to catch up with other...
If your not in the trade it may be difficult to find out where to buy. But just got myself 4 of these ready to go one before I put the car up for sale. I got them through a supplier WST.

Very rare in my experience. It would register a code but it would be along the lines of fuel system pressure too low. Or could associate itself with the first fault you had relating to the quantity control valve but again saying a pressure issue.
Yeah singular HP pump. Injectors shouldn't of needed coded as they re-used his old ones with his old ECU. Should of been a simple job of cleaning up the seat, new washer and bolt and then start. But if they told the vehicle they were new new this could be a problem, but as I said its a stretch...
So it won't be the filter or the metal pipes / fixings because if it was you'd have fuel everywhere.
My guess is either the wiring / plug or the fuel regualtor on the rail is faulty. Simple enough test to check voltages / signal to the plug. And they could try another regulator off another V6...
Ohh. I've always had them come with injection as well so assumed you would get the same.
So you left it with them again to look into? Be interesting to see what they come up with. I take it, it was chuffing or making any irregular noises just the light and cutting out?
Ah ok. Hopefully something really simple and just an overlooked item.
When you buy a replacement engine (from Dronsfield or Prestige) they supply the fuel injection with it, so you should have a spare set of injectors, fuel pump and rails w/ sensors etc.
I hope you got them given to you!
So should be LH bank if I remember correctly. You have another regulator on the end of the fuel rail. Check the connection on that and that the all the fuel pipes have been secured properly.
If all of that checks out, get a leak off test done on the injectors. Simple enough test or if you have...
Thats normally the screw on valve on the pump.
Weirdly its giving me a few options for the part number but see below with RRP's.
Shouldn't be a huge job to change it out if needs be as you don't need to remoe the pump.
Looks like hes sold it to the garage and forgot to take down his ad. More like human error instead of a scam. They have had that in stock 16days from autotrader details.
Depending on the gasket, I wouldn'tbe blaming the engine supplier tbh. I would question the garage who have fitted the engine and ask why wasn't it changed before fitting or why they didn't speak to you about doing additional gaskets etc? When doing a big job like that its looking at the...
The stiff power steering is more than likely the valve on the power steering rack, as its a similar design to the earlier W211's. the valves were around £240.00 + VAT plus fitting.
Had one years ago and it was the column rod with the UJ's on it, but I've only seen one of those fail, so very...
Hi,
I have a spare set of driveshafts off my old 182ff that I want to get overhauled and fit to my current one, then do the same to my current ones for spares or to sell on.
Does anyone have an recommendations for places I get this done? I'm trying my normal contacts with in the trade but no...
Look at sealey. I got a roll car from them for our company workshop tools a few months ago and its pretty decent quality as well. The warranty / aftersales is normally really good as well.
They have a promotion on at the moment on toolboxes as well.
So I want to increase the memory on my Xbox so I can download some more games without deleting my current ones on there. Is it as simple as getting a big memory stick and clicking it in or do I need to buy a specific one for Xbox?
One of my techs has a dewalt drill, srewdriver and small impact and never let him down. Used almost everyday, we have milwaukee stuff aswell for the more powerful needed jobs. Milwaukee is unbelieveably good but I can't personally see the need to spend the extra if its only for the odd diy job...
