A lot of telematics companies geofence permanent tracks tbf. But temporary venues, closed roads, car parks, still do, and there’s no guarantee that they geofence anything at all especially when you don’t even know it’s happening.
The manufacturers don’t necessarily care if the data is exact...
Telematics is absolutely nothing new. Built into the car, reporting to most insurers and turned on without your knowledge, that's the new bit.
We have telematics too in the work vans but to say it's ropey is an understatement. I've seen someone hit 60 in a 20 in a work van once and nothing was...
Interesting tidbit of news.

So, you buy a car, the dealer activates Smart Driver without your knowledge because they get a kickback for signing you up to it.
Smart Driver is a service that, on the face of it...
Cancelled the Moza R9 preorder.
Going for the R12 instead. Apparently doesn’t suffer the same overheating issue that some R9s have had, obviously has more peak torque but also has better detail throughout. Will still go with the ES wheel though.
I’ve run an OLED as a monitor for years 🤷🏻♂️ Just don’t have stuff always in the same place/sat there forever and use the dimming features for when you forget. No sign of any burn in yet.
I've had a moment of weakness.
A Moza R9 V2 and ES wheel are on preorder from OCUK. Would have bought direct but they wanted £130 in shipping. I'll keep using the Logitech shifter and (modified with a trubrake) pedals though for now.
Been wanting to go DD forever and was going to go CSL DD but...
Needed to update my computer setup as my old Sidewinder keyboard was on the edge of losing its cable and the scroll wheel on my mouse was going on the blink.
Ended up going for a Keychron K10 Pro for the keyboard and M3 for the mouse, very happy with both.
Very tempted to get a Moza R9 with...
22psi of boost doesn’t sound too wild, but it’s unlikely that the engine would keep making more boost if the MAP sensor were really maxing out, so it’s probably how you’re reading it, or it’s hit a target boost pressure.
0.78x14.7=11.46 AFR which tbh is fairly normal for a boosted engine. When...
Don’t know what you’re on about, any resemblence to any of the members of this forum is purely coincidental.
It’s our resident library drinker @Ol’ Tarby
Yeah, you have to drive them like an RWD, but the small amount of power going to the front helps drag it to point where you want the angle to be. Endless fun.
Yeah that’s basically what I was expecting tbh. Cocking about in the mud with a license at the end. Forest Experience was based at Sweet...
Great writeup. Imprezas with DCCD are so much fun especially when set up for being tail happy, but are nothing like what most people expect from AWD.
I presume you have done your BARS and got your MSUK stage license? I was planning on doing mine pre-covid as it’s something I’d love to do one...
An AI bumped your thread saying all about how it loved your C10 and you were letting out your inner Lightning McQueen before getting more and more incoherent and ending up with a scam link. Deleted now.
Then Tom followed it up with another scam lol.
He tried to park under an unhitched lorry trailer and caught it at 2mph when he was leaving. Insurer said structural damage and car was immediately whatever category it is now for structural damage must not be returned to road. That’s it.
Sadly, because teenagers continue to be the cause of a majority of accidents. And insurance claims cost a sickening amount now.
Gone are the days of Timmy smacking his £500 106 into Alan’s £5k Mondeo and both owners getting second hand bumpers sprayed up and out the door within a week, now...
