Get a pic of what you have. If it is as I think, there will be a resistor in one of the legs. I had some of those airbag delete looms and one leg had a resistor in, with a fuse as safety. As below, upper leg has the resistor in-line.

Why did you think the MOT was going to run out in May, but it was really April? What was the score with the wheel bolts, were they there when you collected the car? Pics look good BTW.

Update Part number to cure Selector Oil leak, I fitted mine with the telephone help of Fred (cheers Fred!). 770 138 9670 - seal repair kit. £35. bit fiddly, as you have assemble it around the selector shaft after cutting the old seal off, then press it in and bingo!

I believe the kit has been about for a while. The Renault dealer knew exactly what I wanted.

No they don't.There is a repair kit available. I repaired mine (with the help over the phone from Fred) in about 90 mins.

For safety's sake and for a £10, do the job properly. Buy a through panel connector. Also fuse the power cable near the battery.
