Brand new Cup (pre reg) at Renault Leicester is now down to £10480 with 30 delivery miles on it - probably get it for 10K with a bit of a haggle. Get a different cup plate for 250 and youre laughing

A car specific reg plate can help positively differentiate your car from the hundreds of others out there when you come to sell - so its not a waste of money IMO.

Speakers and parcel shelf are a piece of p^ss to do yourself. Bit of MDF / accoustic cloth, wire and a jigsaw. The head unit should only be max £50 to install if like me you cant be arsed reading electrical diagrams.

I had my Cup for 30K. On the whole it was very reliable. Probs I encountered: Renaults interpretation of Customer Sevice. Exhaust snapping at the cat. (Dodgy weld?) Clutch going prematurely. Approx 17K. :oops: :o :( Various niggly rattles that I ignored for the most part.

The Criminal Compensation fund is supposedly for things like this. A mate of mine used to have a restored classic beetle, he annoyed some people who kicked the sh*t out of it, denting all the panels. The money he got from this fund covered the cost of the damage. Its worth a try.

youll find a huge difference if you ring around. They all have different labour rates, and some take the piss, others dont.
