yes, but look at the saxo - not distinctly dissimilar from the clio? I didn't say it would be cheap, but the possibilities are endless..... Hayabusa turbo anyone? Up to 400bhp? yum yum
Adamf - *NOOOOOOOO*! dont just delete it! modify it!
Driving Tales was probably what 90% of visitors looked at before anything else. Some moderation would help, though, to be honest some of the daft banter in tales provided the charm. Regulate it too much, and the joy is lost.
Hey, I was stuck for petrol today. all I had was some Optimax in the canister, and the lawn needed cutting.
Whoa - you would not believe the difference with 98RON - that lawn machine *beatch* flew!!
Not a weed missed, nor a blade not accounted for.... this new petrol is the enemy of the...
:D
hehe!!
Gotta 172, never go over 4500rpm - how sad is that?
Its got to be the least-stressed engine on the planet!
At least I know the powers there if I need it
I agree - firm policing by mods is good. But this attitude of (and were all guilty of it) that our car is faster than any other (specially if its a cup:D) only adds to the flavour - it neednt get out of hand and hostile.
If its possible, any tales detailing events that are obviously...
Im acutely aware of the reason for the tales current suspension. Im also aware that many people have had the opportunity to argue their case, in a fair and dignified manner, in view of the recent tragic circumstances, whether to halt or continue Cliosports Driving Tales forum.
What troubles me...
Apologies if this has been mentioned before, but I just received this from ITG:
Thanks for your enquiry concerning our WB-351 pro-filter to fit the Mk2 Clio 172. Please remember that Pro-Filter is the only direct replacement filter available in the world that never requires to be cleaned...

Sorry to sound supspicious, and forgive me Spaceman if Im wrong, but could Spaceman possibly be a LAD stooge? Sounds iffy that he/she is willing to fork out a few grand on an engine upgrade with a brand spanking new car and has done no research at all, i.e. Viper/Supersprint.
As I said, sorry...
nice one - thanks all, appreciate it :D
I bet they would Viv! Sounds bad I know, but not even my wifes allowed to drive it ;) My first ever new car nall... Im quite a sight here, I keep a close eye on the paintwork - any bird muck & Im there, struggling on crutches washing the stuff off! Bit...
Oops.... shes not turned over for 10 days - as soon as I saw the replies I hobbled outside to start her up - thankfully she started first turn!
Thanks all
Chris
Ive only done ~ 400 miles in my new 172, love it to bits. Thing is, I cant drive til at least the new year, which means 6 weeks sitting idle on the drive. Sounds stupid I know, but is there anything I need to be doing during this time to keep her happy?
Cheers,
Chris.
btw, meant to say - those seats look brand new - should look excellent when theyre in
tbh, I think the williams seats are comfier & more supportive than the 172s
the williams seats/interior may give it away?
but good luck to you - should have a mighty motor once youve completed it! Ive recently owned a williams 3, awesome car - pulls like a train from low revs with a lovely growl - I miss the motor, but not the bodywork problems!
Hi all
Just got myself a luvverly silver 172 a few weeks ago (cant use it til january now, as i had a knee op on tuesday - am on crutches now for 6 weeks :() but anyway, to my point....!!
I recently had a williams 3, and got some slick 50 for it - never got round to using it, as the car was...
When I had my Williams 3 a month or so ago, I rang around for quotes out of interest. The cheapest was Mr Clutch (Manchester), they quoted approx £300 fitted for a new clutch.
