Preperation is key ....... double the time you expect to prep and times that by 10. It's the only way to get a good finish.
I would personally spend the £ on a pro with a good rep
Get in touch with the guys at Wests - brilliant service and very competitive prices.
I've just went down the Koni yellow route - very happy with them paired with sportlines.
Just finished fitting an hour ago Brian, just done half a tank of petrol as was having too much fun.
Missed the plastic washer off, as thought I had lost it. So will pop it on at weekend.
Huge thanks to all that helped in this thread!
Fair play to Larkspeed, replacement shock despatched next day delivery, perfect service.
Desperate to get these on and have a little drive tomorrow evening.
Cheers Steve, I got the set up right in the end.
However one of the shocks won't extend, even if I twist to softest setting.
So frustrating as its a pleasant morning for a trip out after a wash.
Right, just didn't wish to mark/rip up the shock.

Thanks Ash, 110nm it is.
However snapping my breaker bar hasn't helped getting bottom but off! Argghh off to halfauds in the morning for a 26" bar I think.
I didn't receive any Brian, was going to use the original OEM ones currently on the motor.
A little disappointed mind, 190£ worth of kit you hardly expect to be missing instructions & recycle old parts.
Thanks for the quick reply fellas, much appreciated.
I presume the rubber gaiter currently on car fits between bottom plastic washer & first (small) washer?
Cannot wait to get the car up to scratch mind - handling nearly there now :-)
Evening all,
Took delivery of some new koni yellow shocks (rears) today for my 182 as the back right was shot.
The lack of instructions has dumbfounded me to be honest. So could use some advice on order of the rubbers, washers & nuts.
How does this look?
Any advice would be great, thanks
Just going to clean it all up & pop some silicone RVT sealant on the bolts.
If this fails - another cambelt change maybe needed (cambelt done 2 weeks ago). Gulp
