Well i've just got off the phone now, rung my local Autoparts who cant supply the part & tried my scrappy who will only sell the seat as a whole.
I've rung my Renault dealer been qted £24 inc VAT for the part then an additional £171 to fit the cable, nearly fell off my chair laughing
Went to let someone in my car this morning, lifted the handle to tip the seat forward and nothing happened, I've just quickly checked it over and it looks like the cable has snapped.
Does anyone know what this cable is called, and where's the best place to get a replacement??
Has anyone else...
Hi guys,
Jumped in the car this morning to go to work and noticed that when my front wheels are on full lock the steering feels notchy and there's a constant squeak (sounds like a dodgy fan belt)
Has anyone had anything like this before???
Think ill steer clear of the JR ones then, iv not had a chance to whip the old ring off, was planning on doing it tomorrow after work to check the number of teeth etc, what width are the original rings then??
Bridgey, if its of no use to you ill take it off your hands, ill PM you now :)
I was just about to order the JR ring after work off Ebay so glad uv posted this on here :), i couldnt understand how they wanted £2.75 with delivery & my local Autoparts wanted £20+ VAT for the same part, this must be why :/
How much did it set you back to get it sorted in the gge if you dont mind me asking.
I've seen the rings for sale their only a few quid, might give it a go myself if its going to cost an arm & leg in labour costs
Got the car jacked up earlier guys and the abs ring is cracked on the drivers side, im assuming you can replace the ring on its own???? Anyone know if this is a fiddly job to sort & wheres the best place to get a replacement ring from??
Hi guys
Not sure if anyone read my previous thread few days ago about an issue i had whilst breaking, i finally got round to checking it over earlier on and found a cracked abs ring on the drivers side front.
Are these replaceable, as im sure i read on a thread the other day that the...
Is it something you'd say is possible to sort yourself or would you think it best to get booked into a gge. Are there any threads on here on how to change one??
Re: Issue whilst breaking
Yh its a regular thing now, everytime i brake the pedal is trying to shoot bk up, wasnt travelling fast only about 40mph when it 1st happened, but it seems to do it if im doing 20mph or 70mph regardless of what surface im on
Car does have budget tyres on it but i've...
Whilst driving home from work the other night i noticed that while breaking coming upto a junction the pedal seemed to kick back at me (as if id slammed the anchors on and the abs kicked in), I wasnt breaking hard though and the ABS light did not show up on the dash.
Has anyone else had...
I think its the electric motor which makes the noise rather than the fan spinning itself, going to have a play around with mine after work tomorrow see if i can get it sorted, very frustrating when you havent got any music on :(
The fan by the interior light is a climate sensor, I have exactly the same problem with my 172, i disconnected it the other day but then the heaters dont blow warm air.
Anyone else come across this, whats the solution to stop them from whining???
Hi Guys,
Recently purchased a PH2 Clio 172 on a 03 plate, not sure if anyone has read on a previous thread that the car is suffering with miss firing probs, only seems to be when the engine has warmed up and under full acceleration, im 99% sure this is down to the coilpack but read a few...
I got same prob with mine, tends to happen once the engines warm. Ordered a coil pack off Ebay earlier for Clio Sport new £27 with free delivery :), im hoping that will sort mine
Hi Guys,
Car has started missing again this morning, it seems fine when cold then starts missing approx 20-30 mins into a journey, could this more than likely be the coil pack
Cheers
Popped the inlet off earlier guys pulled the leads out there was loads of moisture on them. wiped them dry and sprayed some WD40 inside them before putting bk together and car is pulling smoothly through the rev range now.
Still sounds a bit lumpy on tickover no missin etc though, is this jut...
How do you get 2 the plugs on these things is it a case of having to take the inlet manifold off, soz 2 be a nuisance but iv only had the car a few days so still finding my way around it atm
I thought poss plugs/coil pack but i just realised i did wash the engine down with degreaser Sat and havent really used the car since, could possibly be some moisture on the plugs/leads etc
Just got in my car to go fill it up with petrol 4 work 2mo turned it over and its missin like a good 1, pulling then shutting off and wont rev over 5000rpm, was fine when i parked it up earlier, has had a little flat spot between tickover and 1500rpm but that was there when I had it, any ideas guys
Excellent find fair play, picked mine up after work today fgrom my local Skoda dealer £12.32 inc VAT, parts guy said that for every 10 they sell 8 are for clios
I did come across a thread last night cheers guys, picked up some 1200 & 1500 wet and dry and some Megs Scratch X this morning so will give it a try after work :)
Hi Chaps,
Picked up my Clio 172 yesterday, the cars in A1 condition but the surface on the outside of both headlights around the indicator appears scratched/marked. Just wondering if this is a common thing as their plastic, does anyone know where i can get replacement headlights from as this...
Im in the same boat myself the lowest springs I've found are Apex 40mm but after seeing a few threads on this forum it appears their going to be pants once fitted to the car and am not sure if 40mm drop would be enough so am looking down the coilover route. Priced some up earlier which will...
