My mechanic just called me, he says its the belt and tensioner apparently the belts catching on the tensioner. £60.90 for the Aux kit from Renault (trade discount) plus labour. I don't know much more about it at the moment since I was travelling and couldnt speak to him very well.

Would the belt slipping cause a strange feeling through the steering wheel?

Sorry bud, normal road tarmac outside my house, tyres are dry now. This feeling is felt through the steering wheel, sorry if my description is vague its like the power steering is not turning my wheels smoothly.

This seems to have started happening since yesterday after I jet washed my car (not the engine bay) basically when parking or turning corners at a very low speed it feels like the wheels are scraping/jumping across the floor, almost like the tyres are flat, this can be felt in both footwells...

For reference to anyone interested, changing the battery sorted the trip computer out and also stopped the petrol gauge dropping back to zero once started.

I seem to have a knocking/tapping noise when i turn to one side, it goes away when I put my foot on the brake pedal?

Did you sort this? had this happen to me a few minutes ago, restarted car and lights gone off like yours.

Not sure what its worth mate, I mean laptops are really cheap now a days, you can get a decent i3 laptop for just over £300. In your case getting the above for an hundred sheets is exceptional

Basically little problem, hoping someone may be able to shed some light. Friday I went to get in the car and turned the ignition one click, had the funny heart rate looking icon lit up with no other lights, I started the car and set off and then the emission light came on and I realised the car...

Got this sorted... Just added more fuel and job was a good one.

Just got the same problem this morning, tried resetting trip computer but no good. I think i'll try adding more fuel but mine came on when parked on a slight incline waiting for the lights to change.

Not sure what to make of this to be honest.
