NEW MEMBER - Not quite! Re-Joining?....Maybe

Cheers for the replies guys, thinking of low balling at £700 and walking away if no dice. Haha not a truer word has ever been said. We love our little pocket rockets so obviously they are worth more to us. I'm taking the £2k comments with a pinch of salt as that will likely be absolute...

NEW MEMBER - Not quite! Re-Joining?....Maybe

Just got back from a quick test drive. The good: Suspension seems fine, no knocking or clunking. Springs look good Handles well Brakes are spot on Gearbox appears fine (must have made up the original knocking thing) All electrics appear to be working There was some oil in it :ROFLMAO: The bad...

I have been quoted £200+VAT if I provide my own parts. Renaultpartsdirect seem to have some half decent prices with sales etc so with full kit ordered myself (cambelt&Aux&Dephaser) and provided and labour it should be around the £665 mark which is sounding better. I have seen some "genuine...

Close...Black....so not close. My old one was silver though (which I preferred with the blue tinge in the sun)

Good shout although MOT till Feb, only advisory was standard headlight fogging. As stated above the discs and pads were changed in the last 5k. In the case of tyres, they are ok but I will be replacing them at some point in the next 12 months especially the rear two but none are binding/too...

The Mark 6 GTI (DSG) was awesome mate. Not quite as fun and engaging as the clio's but more refined and had the power. Hands down one of the best car's I've owned. The GTD was a necessity due to mileage and family circumstances and was good for a diesel, no point in having it if you're not going...

NEW MEMBER - Not quite! Re-Joining?....Maybe

Hi all, I was a semi-active member (paid membership as it's so worth it for the guides alone!) of this forum quite some time ago when I had my 172 back in 2010. Since then I moved on to a 197 and then it happened...I went all VAG getting a Mk6 Golf GTI and then a Mk7 Golf GTD (Distance...

Worth taking back to the dealer? Gearbox

Before I start, I know, I know. This topic has been done to death but I need some advice in respect to my situation. I have recently purchased myself an 06 Clio 197 in UR, a beautiful little motor :D. I need some advice however on this gearbox issue I hear so much about. I have read a few...

    Time for an upgrade? 172-197

Thanks for the advice, after much deliberation I've finally got my 197 :). And after having it for only a day now, I already love it! It's everything that was good about the 172 plus more. (although the go kart feel is definitely not there). The only thing that really bugs me is the cornering...

    Time for an upgrade? 172-197

Yeh I was worried that I wouldn't have the go kart feel anymore, although I will be doing more long distance driving and the windscreen whistling was becoming a bit of an irritant. Will take her along to the test drive and see what happens. All going well could have a 197 by the end of the week...

    Time for an upgrade? 172-197

Out and about helping my missus buy a new car and stumble across an 06 197. Just want the opinion on handling/ride comfort etc compared to the old 172(currenly own 52 plate). The missus prefers the look of the new one and she generally hates the ride in my 172 and won't go anywhere long...

    Few more MK4 spy shots

It does look like a Corsa and Punto's dirty Love child and although not a massive fan of the latter I kinda like it. Could be the death of one of, if not the best little hot hatchback :(.

    Some advice needed

Yeah this really helped me. Even the difference between 1 - 2 years and 2 - 3 years no claims can bring the insurance down a considerable chunk. Plus genuine sports are much more fun :D. Just bide your time and save to mod the real thing.

    Ive just won....

Damn, I too just lost the game as well as most of the people I work with. In regards to the suit, pretty awesome. Wouldn't imagine that many people have one either!

    £15,550 modified mk2?

Where is the 'sea picture'? Is this Amphibious? Could be a reason for the high asking price. :P

    Drag Racing - Android Game

I'm looking for it on the App store and can't find it. Just got the likes of Drag racer:Perfect run or Drag Racer:Pro Tuner. Nothing called Drag 'Racing'? It won't be android specific will it?

    French car show - 5th June 2011

I too missed the deadline. Is it £20 to get in and some kind of makeshift parking? I'll be travelling a fair distance and don't fancy turning up and being told there's nowhere to park/fend for yourself or that there's no tickets left.
