The videos of your Clio,s on croft
I have tried to piece this together from the few bits I have available,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFmHIebBKiI&feature=youtube_gdata_player
The Saxo has had a pair of Cheap 708's cams, cheap induction kit & and an exhaust ( that has been made quieter for croft) oh & a couple of small transmition bits. But apart from that nothing else, except it was all mapped & set up by the genius Mark at Automark.
The Saxo goes ok for what it...
with a right hand drive car you have to be wary.
It is a mint road, the smoothest I have ever driven.
The speeds got well into 3 figures at 2 points, but videos can be deceptive.
Short 6 min video of the awsome smooth road that leads to the ring, R26 following a super bike from adenau.

Can't post it in the Clio section, because its an R26
Here is a small video comp of my september 2009 trip, there some other videos on the channel as well.

Been away from this site for a while as I haven't got a clio anymore. I part exd my cupped 182 in 2007 for a new R26 megane which I have been using for Nurburgring trips.
But looking soon for a new carr, was thinking of a clio 200 cup. Would this be a good move ?
I thought autocars figures were 0-60 in 6.9 & 134 flat out
whitch are still sh*te i know.
I have driven a few 197's now & will not be handing over any dollars until it can at least match my 182 !
I was wondering what happened to my old mk1 172 after i part ex'd it. Some lucky person i think has bought it not knowing what it had done to it already.
It would be nice to find out.
It was a flying machine, but a cupped 182 replacaced it, last time i knew it was round the castleford area.
Just found this http://www.autozine.org/html/Peugeot/207.html the GTi is going to be a real kick in the b****cks for the 197.
It will weight around 1240 KG all in. With bags more toque.
If it can handle & turn in some descent mpg. The old King maybe returned, but this time with a turbo...
My 1985 Black XR2
I bought the car in 1994 when i was 19, at the time it was virtually uninsurable. It had a big valve head, big carb & 117 BHP. It was a total flying machine, i used to get at least 1 or 2 races every day minimum. The best time i have ever had owning any car. I sold it in...
So what about the twingo, thats about the same size. That would be fast with a 182 / 197 motor in it.
For the time being i am going to hold onto my cash & wait for the king to return.
When the King car is back I will be straight to the dealers with my order.
For straight line pace the 182 can still cut it with all the current offering, but how high is the hot hatch bar going to go ? With this new Mazda 3 MPS coming in at 258 BHP 280 LB/FT Torque it needs a big step up.
Just going back to the old civic R That had hardly any torque & plenty of weight yet it did 0 - 100 16.4 secs .
The 197 just doesn't add up to me it should be a much faster car than it actually is ?
I am now totally confused .
My old nissan gti-r used to have throttle bodies & a turbo...
The car is deffo slower
0 - 100 18.7 sec for a 197
0 - 100 17.0 sec for a 182
30 - 70 7.3 sec for a 197
30 - 70 5.8 sec for a 182
That is a boat load slower & it feels it, it just has not got enough torque to shift its flab.
The power is not the problem it low on torque & too...
Its sad that Two of my friends who also had 182's both went to order the 197 & after a test drive didn't. One bought a focus ST3 & the other kept his 182. I just hope RS does not see this type of buying behaviour all over the country as this cars potential sales could suffer.
It needs a turbo...
