right I took the car out and it revs to 7.5k, which by the sounds of things means its been remaped! has anyone got a rstuning that could help me out! im near hull will cover the costs obviously.

that is my point has someone remap it badly? if you plug a computer it does it tell you what map you have?

because I have drove other clio 172's and the power is deliverd so much diffrent it seems to have alot more power above 4000 than before, compare to the other car which was pritty equal all the way through the rev's, also the mpg is like 25-29 at best! im thinking its over fueling the engine maby?

got the car a couple months back, and it seems every so often to stop for 5 minutes and not start, checked all the sensors and had diagnostics scan, is there any definate way to tell if the car has been remap wrong?

yeah I dont use them very often just thought it was odd lol some at £26 quid a piece that say "clear" but probs still yellow lol

fair one, it just looks odd having crystal white xexons and yellow fogs, you think there will be clear ones available?

Hey Ive noticed that my 172 is idling very low ie 650-750rpm area, which makes the engine shake, and puts pulsing vibration through the car and exhaust, it never dips so low its going to stall but it feels like it is all the time, ive read about remaps and such and is this the only solution? or...

well its doing it again lol, today it stoped and just sat there not starting for 5 mins then when it finaly started it was miss firing everytime i put my foot down =( may have to give it to the garage and hope they dont want my right arm in payment!

I have an 2002 172 and the idle on that is very low was lookin for a way to pick it up to around 1000revs, is there no manual way to do it then?

quick update, change coilpack and all seems to be ok :D :clap:

the other thing i forgot to mention was sometime it will lose power at 4000 revs for a sec, is that the coils causing that aswell? been realy busy so havnt managed to have a go at fixing the problem yet!

cheers for the offer but I really wanted to sort it this weekend, ive rang 2 local car parts dealers and both have said tht it isnt a pack but individual coils at £18 a piece, ive had a look under the bonnet and it looks like a pack to me! i will get a picture up later asap any idea why they are...

yeah I just swoped out the lambda sensors, and I was goin to change the coilpack next,but I thought I would ask first :D they arnt to expensive I hope!!
