Spotted three clio's parked in a group, a black dci, a 1.2 and another - I drove past & waved in the other black dCi with black wheels, any of you on here? :)
+1... I did mine under the car a few weeks back early in the morning when we had a frost & the oil was nice & thick. ;)
Jacked the N/s up, slid under the car on some cardboard - span the old sensor out, stuck my finger over the hole and span the new one in.
Sbridgey - if you have a new n/s...
FIXED! The aircon pressure sensor lead in front of the aux belt/bottom pulley was blowing back against the pulley at high speed... bareing off the insulation & shorting the wires against the pulley.
When the car cut out it would slow down and the wires would return to their former position...
Thanks! :)
I understand there to be further changes in the speedo drive/starter motor position in these boxes, was revised in earlier & later models?
Will have a delve in my haynes for the ratios, cheers!
Car has done nearly 103k so a clutch is on the cards anyways, wondering if I should...
Q: would a 182 JC5 box bolt straight on to a JB3 engine? I remember something about the ratios being different??
** I have listed my spare NEW circlip on eBay **...
Re: No drive in any gear??! (circlip...)
Lol its not easy! I am working 6-2pm so am up at 5 each morning then fighting available daylight to try and get all the work done?
I would go with the french plate - replaces the circlip and washer, plus it would have been easier to mark the holes out...
Cheers! Saved me pulling the gearbox & getting another anyways....
Just confused by why they had such a fragile arrangement anyways??
This is the Renault bolted arrangement, cant remember which box?
My clutch will be next - think the release bearing will give before the friction...
SORTED! :)
Heres the link for the French plate which replaces the circlip & washer as well - joyous as it is he didnt have any stock and wouldnt for the next ten days...
Indeed! Waiting for the new washer & circlip to turn up, will fabricate a retention ring to keep the new one in there - not keen on reassembly as standard for it to grenade 10 miles later... ;)
Stripped off the n/s driveshaft, the engine has indeed spat out its sun gear & circlip etc...
Cheaper than a new clutch I suppose... will get pics up asap, new circlip & washer on order, here Tues - £6 the pair? Driveshaft has been off before so might be the second time...
Looking at an...
Clio 65, 102k, no previous clutch slip or dramas, no gearbox problems.
Driving through town, changed down for a mini-roundabout - no drive on the way out, like it was in neutral?? No noises, bangs, grinding noises etc?
Glided to a halt, gearchange linkage still in place, clutch cable good...
Hi all,
I have a 2002 dCi 65, fitted dCi80 hoses with a dCi 100 intercooler, clean K&N air filter, diesel filter changed last month.
Have had the car about two years, did have a hot-start problem cured by refurbing injector no.4 (found in a leak-off test), have also had a new fuel pressure...
I personally see "221bhp" as willy-waving... I take it you have screenshots of the dyno read-out?
Never heard of a dCi making anywhere near that much?!??
Hi all,
number 4 injector is showing as faulty in a leak test - anybody recommend a good reconditioning service? Will save me having to get a new one coded to my ECU...
Well hectic! Rallying is about the only motorsport that holds my attention, I make a poor spectator for the likes of F1 & even MotoGP but have MUCH respect for these Loons ragging it sideways down country roads...
Lol nope, did this for my dCi while I was waiting for the one I bought off eBay to come thro the post... you get 14 days rent, plus when mine did turn up I still used theirs for thumbage so mine didnt get all black. :)
