When fitting new discs and pads , you must ALWAYS go with the disc bedding in not the pad , yes race pads are bedded in very aggressively , with no downsides , discs must be bedded in and heat cured or they will fail prematurely , we recommend 250-300 miles of A&B road driving , and then some...
Hi
Maybe you can check , as far as i'm aware the kits Reyland offer are not AP discs , they are there own , machined from other road car discs , so when you take into account the Godspeed are proper heat treated curved vane race discs , and are actually £100 cheaper , it certainly makes the...
Hi
Just to correct you , we make a special curved vane race disc for this applications , yes it's 330mm x 28mm , but with a pad width area of 62mm , so works perfectly with the Meg 3 calipers and pads
Cheers Ian
wow didn't realise it was so long ago I added to my thread !
Still have the car for now although it is for sale as I bought another rally car , is now fitted with a new Pure motorsport engine , and Sadev ST75 gearbox , along with a host of other parts , had it mapped by Sandy Brown and goes very...
I was big into fords back in the day , had an Escort Cosworth as my last ford , and agree they weren't all that , after a tune by MA developments to around 350hp , new suspension , an exhaust change to take all the cats off , it was soooo laggy , better brakes , they have 1 pot calipers on the...
From what I remember from back in the day, these engines were restricted to 8500 revs , and the nissan had the most powerful engine at 316hp , bloody good going back then
Do you run a servo on yours , when I first put the AP kit on mine it was either on or off , no feel in between , so I disconnected the servo and ran it like that ever since I rallied it , needed a good push to lock up , but plenty of feel before it did lock up
I recently fitted the PMS pedal box in mine , pain in the ass to fit , but what a difference , not cheap but well worth the money , my grey one also has one , fitted by Mike,
As above , anyone fitted one of these , struggling to fit it into place because of the master cylinder , just wanted to know if anyone has done it before cutting the bulkhead away !
Cheers Ian
I didn't have to cut it , just trimmed the edge in 3 places with a sanding disc on a grinder , was very simple to do and took minutes , wish i'd taken a pic now
I had to do that with the Sachs clutch I bought from PMS , nick did tell me the cover needed some material taken off , didn't need a lot taken off , it was by the straps that needed doing , took a couple of goes taking material off , putting the gearbox on and off to get it to clear , but I...

Think you might have to sign up to the site though , which isn't so bad as it's probably one of the best Impreza forums , some real nice cars on there chav free !
I sold my Ex works WRC car for £80k a couple of years ago to a guy in Japan , quite a few guys over there are buying ex-works cars , he bought it as an occasional track / road car !
He also had a 22B and was trying to do me a swap saying his 22B was actually worth more than my WRC cars , since...
I run the race top mounts as well , I think iv'e clipped the pipe to the inner wing so it doesn't move , just the strut , will have the car back in my workshop in the next week or two so will have a look what I did , it's been a while
Had mine rebuilt after my roll on Epynt , cost me a few pennies !
I was the first ones to have them done , and had to send them my race car suspension so they knew lengths and the ends to fit it on the car , had a bargain back then as the car set brand new cost me £2750 !
Great suspension though
I had my diff plates changed , caerwent is a killer event for that with all the 90 degree bends , there's a small round plate under the gearbox that has a selector pin , and material from the diff plates dropping to the bottom of the box makes it stick , happened to me on caerwent and it...
There is a company in France making parts for them now as Sadev had stopped doing them , but now Sadev have started doing spares again so the boxes get to live on !
I have one of these in my ex cup race car , in the 8 years or so I've had it , it hasn't cost a fortune to run , probably spent a few grand on it but it has done a lot of rallies.
The biggest bill I had with it was when I had it rebuilt, had a couple of gears changed, and the next rally a...
Not sure that's a version 5 or 6 rear spoiler , maybe a version 4
I have a version 5 that used to look like this

Love the early classic Impreza's
I have just had my engine rebuilt by nick to his 240 spec , got one of his exhaust manifold as well , its sitting on my workshop floor waiting to be fitted , only heard good things about them , and they seem to go well
