Thank guys!
Cost wise, a 197 2nd hand with approx 10-30k on the clock will sell for 22-25,000 AUD (14,000-16,000 pounds). They are expensive here. A new 200 Trophee goes for 26,000 pounds lol.
Yeah I'm not touching spacers, not going to fiddle with anything relating to the suspension geometry, handles like a dream now, not going to hamper that for the sake of looks.
You would take your car from perfect handling to simply dangerous, run it on the shoulders of the tyres thus reducing contact patch and eliminating the tyres ability to stop well under heavy braking and prevent the tyres from removing water from under the tread in wet conditions and increasing...
Nothing actually it's a straight swap, just have to remove the height motors from the original and install into the new headlights and bobs your uncle!
Thanks for the comments guys :D
Thanks guys. Got it detailed today as seen below. Next step, Bebop wheels going black, however the shade I have not decided yet, I'm thinking a charcoal more than a standard black. After that getting a Akrapovic exhaust and then I HOPE my wallet will strop haemorrhaging lol.
Before...
Thanks guys. Not a fan of the spacers though since I track it and don't want to fiddle with the geometry much and not overly keen on the additional sheer stresses as a result of spacer plates. Certainly looks wise they would be great though!
Why I love living in Aus, only ever seen 2 197's and 1 200. They are more rare then bloody supercars around here! Great when you get people staring at it and wanting to take photos xD.
Not great when you consider a 200 trophee sets you back 25,000 pounds here (more than double what you guys pay).
Might as well name this thread the "what car do you own" thread since the poll results would be the same.
I obviously prefer the car I own (197) since I would have bought a 182 if I preferred that. I prefer it because it's newer, less mileage, less common (in this country), better build...
Guess it all comes down to personal taste (durr) but there is no way I could modify a car to the point where it's handling performance starts to become hindered, to me it defeats the purpose of buying a car which builds its reputation on its agility.
For me, as soon as you start hiding wheels...
