    Clio 172 phase 1 turbo

Chip do you have any means of preventing turbo stall (if its even an issue)? Ill be going forged later in the month and am slightly concerned about the "stall" damaging the turbo i posted a question in the engine forum but didn't really get a straight answer, I would really like to hear your...

    Dump valves

I'm not sure I made myself clear to be honest, I don't like the sound, id rather it wasnt there but tbh I couldn't care less, the Sole reason for me wanting to fit one was to help with reliability of the turbo and associated parts i was always lead to believe that turbo/compressor stall was in...

    Dump valves

I was under the impression that any turbo stall is a bad idea? When forged ill be around 1.2bar so I'd like to run a dv just as a safety measure, my reason for choosing a DVD over a recirc was purely down to simplicity of fitting and having less pipework anyone know about what spring rates are...

    Dump valves

I'm going forged very soon and need to look at a simple way of preventing turbo stall so it looks as tho a dump valve is going to be the easiest option (even tho I'm not sold on the sound!) anyway what's the deal with spring rates? Say for instance at the Minuit I'm only running 7psi does that...

    Brake upgrades?!

That's the key, it's going to be more of an issue in heavier faster cars, but that wasn't the argument;) my cup is only 210bhp but I've experienced fade with 2500's and 1155's

    Brake upgrades?!

Sam I've read lots of your posts on here and you know what your talking about, but there is no way I'm accepting there is no benefit to be had
  26. BrianB

    Brake upgrades?!

Im sorry but that's just not correct, decent pads will have a higher upper working limit however Any pad has its limit and when you reach it fade will happen grooves will help disperse the gas regardless of which pad you choose, wether it'll be noticeable on a light car like the Clio is a...

Solid top mounts Which are best?

Take a look at the "pure motorsport" setup with the brace, I've bought this but cannot give a proper review there not fitted yet, come highly recommended tho
  28. BrianB

    Brake upgrades?!

it has everything to do with gas, the excess heat causes a gaseous layer between the pad and disk preventing proper friction giving you fade
  29. BrianB

    Brake upgrades?!

I still don't understand how having grooves cannot help with brake fade, surely the grooves help the built us gasses disperse from under the pad area thus preventing fade? or am I missing something?
