I doubt the lag will be much more if at all with an uprated inter cooler, theoretically yes but will you actually notice it? I doubt it!?
On my megane i've got a 30% larger intercooler than standard (i think, its 60mm core) with bigger pipework also and didnt notice any additional lag if...
Hey DJtronic,
I'm good thanks, i just thought from your original post that you had the map recently and Henk was ignoring you now that a fault that risen which i found a bit hard to believe so i assumed that you had perhaps been a little rude in your emails, which you obviously haven't been...
Just had a quick read of his thread you posted, looks like he had a k-tec map with 172 injectors which didnt work very well and went back to your map with standard injectors and it doesnt work as it did/ Good old K-tec their map probably broke something!
I did think he wasn't telling the whole...
As far as i'm aware Henk is still running fastchip, have you been a bit rude in your emails? As if so he will most likely ignore you!
He normally replies within 48 hours in a worst case scenario, i've never had a problem contacting him!
I didn't find the hit detection too bad tbh, if you look up at the screen shots above, the sectoid you cant hit through the door is because the stun weapon is equipped which has naff all range, it shows that you can see the sectoid by the yellow alien head in the bottom right hand corner -which...
As above, use moneyclaim online it will most likely cost you a little bit to do it though depending on how much your claiming i think its £70ish quid up to £1000 claim, if shes been found guilty in a criminal court it would most likely just be a formality to go through
Cheers for the reply chip, thats the problem the two most respected tuners - Paul and Henk both have completely different views on the subject! Henk reckons he's seen gains of 20-30bhp whereas Paul says its pointless!
Quick question Chip (and apologies if its off topic!), what would you say 1.7" boost pipework would flow ok for? As thats the standard boost hose size on the megane 225/ R26 and a lot of people say upgrading to 2" pipework(from forge etc) is pointless as they flow well enough and are no...
TBH i'd email them back saying its illegal to send knowingly counterfeit goods through the postal system and that you will destroy it, copy paypal into the email.
Free phone?
I think its normally cutting a c section out of the chassis legs so that the driveshafts have room and don't bottom out. for "mega lowzzzz"
Although i think since 2013 if you have a chassis notch you have to get the car through an IVA test, although i imagine a lot will have freindly testers...
Yeah I made 189.9bhp with ED dynamic cams (same timings as schrick IIRC) exhaust, decat, induction, ported/ matched inlet manifold, if your lucky you may just break the 190 mark.
Not sure on the standard exhaust but if it is 2.25 you should be ok as i know someone had ITB with an aftermarket...
TBH i'd probably tell them that they have lost a long time customer, i find a few garages do this, really decent service until they recognize your a regular then they try and rip you off as you've started to trust them1
I've got a spare alloy one since writing my ph1 off make me an offer if your interested, no dents/ creases but a couple of stone chips if you want pics pm me
Trust me it is! i know it doesn't seem to make sense but it is!
6kgs for alloy bonnet, 8kg+ for carbon fibre!

Is a fibreglass bonet really going to be lighter than the alloy one?
As the Alloy one is lighter than any carbon fibre equivalents, so surely for a decent strength fibreglass bonnet that won't easily crack etc it would weigh more than a carbon fibre one?
If your after a ph1 box pm me an offer as i have one kicking around in my attic with either a standard paper filter or a pipercross panel foam filter, its got a couple of scratches on it and is missing one clip but seals and performs as it should
I havent seen a ph2 box in person but i think they have 2 inlet hoses also(same as the ph1, its the V6 box that only has one big inlet), but unsure of shape/ fitment etc.
Tbh most people leave the hoses disconnected for more induction noise, also behind the passenger headlight it receives a fair...
The ph1 airbox is essentialy the same as the espace v6 box but it has 2 inlet holes instead of one big one.
The espace V6 box used to be used for the JMS induction kit and is generally regarded as being better than the ph2 box
Hit and miss tbh mate, think it all depends on what Renault had lying around at the time of production! Theres no set reg's etc that have it some x reg's do some don't same for the shift light some did some didnt.
Easiest way to check is try and stick a magnet on it, if it don't stick its alloy
From what i've allways been told its not really the reading thats important as long as their consistent across all 4 cylinders (as i've been told that the gauges aren't always the most accurate on non high end compression testers)
