Played Witcher (not 2) on the PC and hated it. Sooooooooo slow (story, not PC) and the combat system is too detached.
Deus Ex Human Revolution looks the biz. Do you need to play the previous versions first? If no, will you lose much of the story?
I remember playing Bioshock 2 having not played...
Hi all
Having moved over to the Xbox from PC gaming last Christmas, I have now spent enough time on Skyrim. Looking around, Risen 2 has just been released and there are some good games coming out later this year but I have been looking at Dues Ex and Mass Effect.
I have always played first...
Well I finally went to the breakers yard today and of the two mk3 clios they had, one had no rear end damage so I removed the motor and paid £10 instead of £45 inc vat from Renault. I also had an opportunity to learn how to dismantle a clio without caring what I did to it and you can’t put a...
Nice one. Thanks for that. What are the chances that the clip will fall into the gap etc? Also do you pull the motor staight out or upwards, downwards etc?
Sorry for so many questions, I like to be prepared.
Hi
My fuel flap won't open. I have managed to pull the emergency release (thanks to Clio197.net) but it still gets stuck and it is time to change the motor. My question is how to do it?
To get to the emergency release, you need to take the inside trim from the boot on the side of the car where...
Everything on here is someone's opinion and we are all entitled to one hence I put the YouTube video with Tiff Needell driving the 197 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjL_AyuhJnc). I value Tiff's opinion more than most on here but each to their own. Makes life more interesting :)
I used to own a 1995 Rover 220 turbo coupe that I bought in 1999 and sold in 2004. Saw it on the road a few months ago and just by chance drove past where it lives. It still has the SS exhaust I put on it :D.
This +100
The 197 is better - the end. The 1*2 may feel faster and more chuckable but the fact is it isn't. Driving skills is where it's at and 99% of peeps on here will run out of skills long before the car does.
Fuel economy is worse on the 197 though but meh!!!!
I'm not in the forces but have done quite a big of training for them in Germany and have lived in JHQ, Javelin & Herford.
Know their love of cars out there too. I thought the PX was gone from JHQ now?
Re: 197 Pro's and Con's
My Brembo's were fcuked when I bought the car and very luckily got them replaced under warranty (2 weeks before it ran out :D). Now they get stripped and cleaned every year. Interestingly, when my mechanic serviced my car last year he said that Renault hadn't put any...
Re: 197 Pro's and Con's
Short answers:
Flat spot is there between 2-2.5K revs. I quite like it so when I hit 3k revs it feels like boost :p. The real power is above 6k so you have to wring its neck and that is precisely why I bought it. It is such a laugh to drive.
Get the Brembos serviced...
Clios don't have enough torque to worry about and unless the road is completely flat, which would stop any rain water running off it, you will always get some pull.
