Not being advertised yet and can't remember the reg off the top of my head.
5k is undoubtably toppy and naturally the dealer needs to make a profit on the car, so its not comparable to buying one privately (probably a better choice tbh).
Good point. From the visual I gave today it looks very tidy, but haven't driven it yet so admittedly everything could change.
love the classic look of a Williams though. Retro yet somehow timeless
Hi all,
Have stumbled across a Williams 2 for sale today through a local car dealer. Called in to have a good look over and on the whole was impressed. Details as follows:
clio williams 2 - HPI clear - 92k miles
5 previous owners with FSH (huge great file)
Front and Rear arches in excellent...
Lovely purchase mate! Really do like the mk2's in Mars Red. Insurance doesnt sound too bad, I'm 23 and my V6 cost a little less than that (I have a mk1 so it should do, but its all pro rata). Hope to see you at some of the meets, through here and V6clio.net
Did you buy from a member on the forum?
Ahhhhh so this is where you ended up! ;)
Nice buy pal. I was tempted by an S2000 myself a while ago. Never actually got round to driving one though which is probably the reason i havent owned one yet.
Enjoy!
Do your research first pal and then start looking. Service history is very important with these cars and it can be tempting to buy the first one you see!
If you need any advice or pointers then just pm me!
Thanks Colin, titanium pods do sound tempting.... it would give it a nice little twist. Will have a think about that.
Ed - very small world indeed. You are probably right, he may come and take it back sooner or later. I had a look at the whole build he did (on the forum blog) which looked...
Hi Ed,
Strangely enough, I came VERY close to viewing your car too when the chap in Tunbridge Wells owned it!! (The rebuild he did was a top notch job!!!). You got yourself a bargain if you don't mind me saying so!
Yeah i bought it off Will in Crawley last year. She's just had her second full...
There are better Trophy's out there pal, seriously. I have seen this (i often stop by garages to have a browse etc), and whilst its not the worst example out there, I really do think you could pick up a far better example for not a lot more. Spending a little more on a tidy example will also...
A few shots of the vee which were taken a little while ago now, but thought i would post a few on here as not shown them before. She will be spending most of her time in the garage throughout winter, although im waiting for a nice day to take her out and get some really good shots!
These are...
Anyone who says spend it all on a car is off their rocker.
Ok so you have some cash from the sale of your property, great. Spend no more than 10k on a car if it is what you really want. This whole "spend it whilst you have it" idea is all great for now, but all you are doing is setting yourself...

This has caught my eye and is only up the road from me. Tempted to have a little look
Thanks Jamie,
That was my thought process in as much as they are now becoming a little rare, and hard to find a tidy one! Do you have any details of your 1? :) sounds interesting re ph1 engine!
good way to look at it. I know its not a lot of money to spend on a little hobby but its just nice to know what value these will hold, if any. Something about them just looks way better than any other 1*2. Iv owned a number of 1*2 and a 230 V6 which i loved (although massively impractical), but...
Thanks for the info Saner. Any thoughts on price range.... lets say for example 100k miles, FSH, HPI clear, very tidy throughout with 5 previous owners: 2k mark? I have seen some for well over 3k, and others for less than 2k.... seems there are some real dogs out there too.
As per the title, i have been looking at Williams for a little while now (i have been looking at a lot of things if im honest) and having seen a couple in the flesh, think they look absolutely cracking.
Clearly buying an unmolested example with the exception of a upgraded exhaust etc would be...
