Greetings from a fellow Clio enthusiast from across the pond!
This thread has been an awesome read!
I am currently tuning my F4R'd Clio (basically a ph1-172 engine) using a Megasquirt MS2 and it would be awesome to have the base values for the ignition map.
My target is to come as close as...
Hey guys.. Long time no post!
For those wondering, we never had any RenaultSport cars in Brazil so I'm slowly struggling to make my own... Or the closest I can get to one at least :)
Here's my first trackday after replacing the K4M with the F4R.. The engine is stock so far (138bhp version, no...
sorry to hijack the thread but I have a related question that someone may be able to help me with:
I'm finishing assembling a F4R to go into my K4M Dynamique (we never had any RenaultSport Clios here in Brazil sadly, so the only way to have one is to make it yourself), so here is my setup...
Thanks for the tips mat!
seems like i'm on the right track then.. Already purchased Powerflex bushes, and will get a Whiteline ARB to tighten up the rear.. Also I'm running 15mm Eibach Pro Spacers in the front and 25mm in the rear, so track is mostly OK. Maybe some ET38 rims for my slicks like...
Yeah I'm not the greatest fan of the skirts either, but since there is no RenaultSport down here there is no way to get ones like in the RS models. This was infact the OEM skirts that were supplied with the Dynamique here.. One day i'll try taking them off to see if it looks better..
Hello everyone! Got some pic from the last trackday here in Curitiba, Brazil to share...
I am currently running Sportlines with uprated dampers on my Dynamique, but with slicks the body-roll seemed immense.. I am planning on getting Powerflex bushes and a Whiteline rear ARB. Do you guys think...
Did this work for you Andy??
I'd like to have my rear lower by about 15 - 20 mm on my Sportlines, but I didn't quite understand gaz-kev's instructions. Could someone tell me if I can do that as well and how?
Amazing as always!! Loved seeing it against the Porsche and the Vette! Everytime you flew past me I laughed at how ridiculously fast your car is!
Woot, there's me at 3:40 in the first vid! Sorry if I made you miss the braking zone!!
BTW, some outside action:
Re: Some action pics from Bedford and Nurburgring of my little Cup from last few week
amazing pics, must have been a blast round the 'ring!!
Just one question though, from the pics is seems that the car could benefit a lot from some more negative camber in the front.. what setting are you...
Thanks mate!
Thanks! I actually had no choice regarding the color, as there were veeeery few Dynamiques sold here in Brazil (99% of our Clios are 4-doors, sadly), so I just had to go with it, but ended up loving it :D But I can't help but wonder what it would look like in BG..
thanks everyone for your comments! I'm really glad to get the CS approval :D
I'll start thinking about a black diamond, maybe it would look good indeed.. Also, I need to find a way to adapt the ph2 bootlid button into my lid (Renault in Brazil skimped on that one when it updated Ph1 to Ph2..)
yes, I had it remapped in a rolling dyno, with the exhaust, sports panel filter and remap got it to 124bhp at the flywheel.. but as I said the gains in mid-range torque were much greater which makes the engine much more responsive..
next step for me (in a few years when I can afford another...
you got it! A colleague of mine used to work in the Renault plant we have here in my city and he had a lot of experience with the K4M engine as he used to do all the calibration for it in the dyno. So he fetched some data from Renault regarding valve timing and exhaust temps and used some...
Thanks everyone, I sure took a lot of inspiration from the CS scene :) I really wish we had RS clios here in Brazil, it must be really amazing to drive one 'round a track..
About the rims: Here in Brazil, the Sandero is actually a Renault (it was developed here in fact) and there is an...
No mate it's Curitiba, down in the south.. We usually host a race for FIA WTCC but that's the only big international event we have here.. it's a really good track though! Glad you like the rims btw!
Cheers!
Thanks mate! I'm on the lookout for some silvervisions but they are not that easy to find here in brazil... might have to import some from e-bay..
Thanks mate! To answer your question, go to 3:30 on the following video:
Thanks mate! That's actually my parents house (i'm 24 and things work...
Hey everyone! Finally had a chance to take half-decent shots of my newly fitted eibach pro-spacers (25mm rear, 15mm front, ET38 wheels) and Sportlines.. Sorry about my non-existent photography skills!
Cheers from Brazil!
C&C welcome!
Thanks for the reply! Yeah it's kind of a small world indeed!!
About the sportlines, I have fitted them in my clio a couple of weeks ago, and it seems that the rear sits much higher than the front (about 1/2" higher), did the same happen to you? Does it settle over time or is there any other...
weird, just this night I dreamed about being lost in Australia driving in the wrong-way in some highway, and thinking that I had to keep an eye for any clio sports (since we don't have them around here and i have never seen one in the flesh)
what is the offset in those wheels? They look...
One more trackday this sunday, this time with wet track conditions!

Pay attention at 3:30 and 5:50!
hey, got some new pics of a few updates (RS grill mainly)
I know I will get heat for the Renault Sport badge, but remember there are NO RS Clios in brazil, if this makes it any less offending ;)
you're right danzooo it is a ph1 interior! here in Brazil we never got the ph2 interior, and neither did we get the mk3 clio.. instead we got the Sandero as a Renault :o (no Dacia in Brazil)..
also, Renaultsport simply doesn't exist around here, so the fastest clio we can get is the 1.6 16v...
