You flashed me as you entered the roundabout near Co-Op, I was in GW 200. I waved, I would have flashed back but my Dad had picked me up from station in it and was driving lol. :)
I went past as you were sitting in traffic towards traffic lights at the council building/seevic. I think you saw me but I'm getting more reluctant to flash or wave these days due to major lack of response most of the time lol.
Ah finally seen you then mate, I thought it might be you as I noticed the UR with black speedlines. I noticed the wave as you exited, shame about average speed cams indeed. Car looked awesome, I actually said to my mate I should have got my 200 in UR lol. :rasp:
I was in the White 200, you gave chase as I went past towards A127 and you took the Rayleigh Weir exit. Me and my mate didn't think you would wave but thought we'd give it a try when we saw CS sticker in back window. :rasp:
Yeah, the 350z tried once we got further into Wickford.. I wasn't that impressed tbh lol.
Oh, haha, well not pimped, but just wasn't to my taste :rasp: you weren't that far behind, but that was only because my foot wasn't 'that' far down :rasp: 182 would have been fun to have a play with...
60 plate was probably me. I saw the 11 plate when we left, had a little play with him and some guys in a pimped out old style Zetec S :clown:
I gave the 11 plate a wave and he waved back so he may well be on here.
Yeah it was, I should actually attend a meet sometime lol. I was happy with it after cleaning until I spotted patches of paint that's come off my speedlines :dapprove: gonna get it checked out by Renault though.
It sounds like how I wish my 200 sounded :rasp:
Lol yeah. I did actually need to go into Pitsea, I wasn't just following you lol. :o
Thanks, it should do, gave it a good detailing session yesterday. Both the cars look very nice, gotta say yours sounded awesome though Vicky :)
My insurance is actually fairly good lol, about 820 with Admiral Multicar, 21, no points, 3 years NCB. Without Multicar however, would have been about 1100. - I think my excess is at 400 atm.
Brandon - I had seen a black 200 recently (don't see many of them). Where abouts was it mate?
Saying that, the car is getting dirty very quickly due to the roads I drive on.
I assume washing will restore the beading, even if slightly? as a layer of dirt on top of the wax probably isn't helping.
Rather than starting a new thread, I thought I'd dig this up, as it is on the same subject.
It seems 2 weeks after applying a coat of DJ wax over 3x EGP, beading has significantly deteriorated. I'm not sure if I made a mistake by not adding a couple of layers but just the EGP coats before hand...
I thought I'd give it a go, despite not having the best of feedback about it. If it's no good then I'll go straight to Colly until I can be bothered to look elsewhere next spring.
I'll update here when it's done to let you know how it went.
Well, gave it a proper wash, clay, polish and 1 EGP last Friday (surprised how much the clay got off on a new car) and another EGP on Saturday and this is what I got as of rain today.
Not too bad I don't think. I ordered a sample pot of DJ Diamond White and some Red Mist to put on after final...
Thanks JD, simplest way to put it lol.
Either of you guys had any experience with Dodo Juice?
Thinking of getting some Diamond White wax. I don't think it'll last as long but the finish is supposively nicer better than Colly, if only slightly. Plus I'd assume it'll do the black bits fine too...
Personally, I hate Halfords! but they do have some decent deals on normally, I'm always looking elsewhere for products but I just haven't been sure of what to go for.. so I just stick with what I know works! would like to actually get more involved though, different products, etc.
The best...
I was thinking about Meguairs clay, that or AG.
That's exactly my issue with black, every tiny scratch or swirl is noticable. Will never buy a black car again!
I kinda got lost with the amount of questions I had if I'm honest! :rasp:
I've done some detailing before but only basics, not sure you can even call it detailing lol.
I usually just use SRP and EGP after a wash on my 1.2 and that's about it (doesn't help enthusiasm with it being black! it's...
I'll look into Collinite, I've heard good things about it.
Well I'd assume plastic :S but I've seen/heard that it's more vunerable to stone chips and scratches, etc.
I'm picking my 200 up on Friday and was wondering if anyone would suggest anything different for cleaning and adding abit of protection the bumper and diffuser?
I'm going to give it a good wash, SRP, EGP (x3 probably) and possibly a rinse and some Aquawax on top, but not sure if that's needed...
Cup spoiler and R27 stickers on it? If so I believe it's a guy that works or has something to do with Churchills (always parked outside of there) keep an out of for my GW around Southend after I pick it up on Friday ;)
OP - Will look mint mate, hopefully your wait doesn't feel too long!
