Seriously though, if the Exige was driven properly you would have been the one doing the chasing. After all, the Stig put one round the Top Gear Track in the sixth quickest time last year beating a 911 GT3 and others. In the wet!
After what happened at the American car wash, I thought it best to learn a new trade, and get started on some detailing myself.

I have just bought my...
JD fella,
Thanks so much for your help...but my parents have offered to pay Off Your Marks Detailing for a full correction.
I will however be billing the American Car wash, as they did offer to correct their mistake, but I have been told that polishing alone wont correct it, and anyhow...
Just had a look on this website,
http://www.offyourmarks.com/correction.php
it isn't swirl marks as I thought, they look like Buffer Trails and Holograms, scroll down to that section once you've followed the link above, and thats what my car looks like.
Now I know alot of you guys would have done this yourself, but I had no time, I’m going away tomorrow.
I wanted to sort my car out, clean it up, and restore the paintwork.
I have a black/gold 182
Which I paid £50 to have a machine polish done, by the wan*kers know as the American Car...
Well, weight for a Clio 182 is 1090kg, and then you multiply 0.737kg for every litre of fuel you have in your tank, and then add yourself. Then for other liquids like engine oil, break fluid and screen wash, I’d add 25kg max.
This is a good start and probably an accurate of a guess anyone...
In my 182, under the ash tray is a comunication socket, which I then plug My RSTuner into, which in turn is already attached to my laptop...Then through the RSTuner programe downloaded from the Fastchip's websit, it will comunicate and download/upload data to your ECU.

You have to keep in mind that a rolling road session is normally done indoors. And a live read done using the RSTuner is done outside. The road surface, wind and the humidity can all affect the outcome of the final result.
For a more accurate reading, you need next to no wind, a perfectly flat...
I used this .cal file yesterday, and installed it onto my ECU, First thing I noticed was that after just three miles the curse control was working, and my fuel economy went up to 35mpg from 31mpg! I thought this strange but the car does run a hell of a lot smoother, it idles at 900-1000 rpm...
Apart from spraying the interior shell work of my fiesta a year or so ago, then, no. But, I have spray alot of interior trim etc and that was easy enough. Can't imagine spraying of any short being to difficult, not if you take your time and follow the basic prep work guid lines.
I havent asked, I was planning to purchase new parts, per sprayed to replace my chiped and scratched front bumper and bonnet.
But they don't come painted, so I was thinking of painting the parts myself. And wanted to know can you get good results using the guide above.
Tim
If I went to renault, and asked for a replacement bumper for my Clio 182 black/gold, will it come already painted?
Thanks,
Tim
PS sorry for the miss spelling of "Renault" in the titel...typo
I have been tempted already to do some colour coding. Was thinking white...but it does look good as is. Maybe just clean up the engine bay,
Just purchased a RStuning Kit from Fastchip's. So looking forward to it...from what i'v heard, its well worth it.
Yeah use it alot to take the wife and baby places, although I hate it. Having to spend loads of money on baby related car items, like I had to get an ISOFIX baby seat, just so I didn't have to use my rear seat belts, which in turn over time ruins the seatbelt tensioners.
I think at the time, it was the quickest way to the outside. But yeah, if I had more time and the know how, I probably would have put it in the lower grill. But it is growing on me...only time will tell.
Hi all,
As a lot of you know I bought my car only a few weeks ago, and as soon as I joined this Club. Which I must say is great! It has helped me out many times in the past two weeks.
Up until now the only pictures I’ve had of this car were pictures taken by the pervious owner, whom is also...
The title may not make sense, but I own a 182 CUP FF.
I want to replace the alloy wheels, what are the specs I need to look for?
ie 16" x 7" and the ET what is that? What does this mean. And what should it be for my car?
many thanks
Tim
