I would highly suggest Jamsport. It's around 1 hour from Birmingham but I went there from Warwick and did not regret it a bit.

Another one from yesterday using 20x zoom and NO tripod

Full 20x zoom on a tripod, using the full manual mode for setting the aperture and shutter speed myself. After that I cropped the picture in Photoshop and played a bit with the colours.

It is a stuffie mate. Thank you all for the comments and tips. I will work a bit on the photos and maybe try to get rid of the blue ball and try some cropping with the 1st one.
