Basically my clio is starting to get a bit tired and maybe a little bored of it. I've been looking around for some thing that might help fill the void but there is not much out there that would be within budget or readily available (I am in Ireland). I was looking at 197's but they can be quite...
On the way to work this morning my car decided to decat itself, the exhaust has been a bit dodgy recently but didnt realise that it was this bad. There is some rust around the cat and manifold so this is an issue. After a closer inspection it seems there is some potentially expensive damage. The...
Re: ***How much is my car worth?***
I'll give this a go as well of thats cool.
2004 182 with 65K miles on the clock, all the belts done around 2k miles ago has miltek cat back system as well as lowered 30mm on Eibach springs. Full climate control and cruise control.
Some scrapes and dings on...
This happened me the other day do you have a part number to hand by any chance? I need to get a price for it from Renault Ireland and prepare my wallet:S.
Whats it mean when the service light is coming on with traction control light and staying on? This only happens intermittently and when Im accelerating. Would I have to put it on a diagnostics to find out?
You can get them from here (http://www.northwestperformance.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=6_7_86_117&products_id=197&osCsid=tpb73r77j22uutovvco6hd5146) for £12 not sure what labour costs would be Im in Ireland. I only replaced the one side but they are cheap enough you may as well do both.
In my infinite wisdom when I got the car I thought I should put an induction kit on the car and without doing any research about it at all I got a cone filter from Ktec. Now having realised that your probably better off with the standard airbox with an K&N panel filter or similiar Im looking to...
Sorry just read it again there was nicely done. Not sure if I could manage it myself though. Sorry for all the questions but what size wheel is it. And if I had the original buttons from the renault wheel could I aapt them like you have done with this wheel.
Sorry for dragging this back up again. But Im guessing that the buttons were there to replace the cruise control buttons. Was it a difficult job to do?
Ive never really liked the feel of the standard steering wheel in the 182 the leather type material has peeled and become sticky. Also one of the thumb grips has melted which is pretty common i know. The one problem with an aftermarket replacement is that Ive got the cruise control buttons on...
The baffle went on the centre silencer a few weeks back for some reason. And I emailed K-tec who I got the exhaust from and they contacted milltek on my behalf and I got a new silencer section posted straight out to my house with no real hassle. Was very pleased with how it went.
Sorry for Hijacking but are the trackrods the same as the tie rod's? Mine made that noise as well and Ive just failed the MOT becase of worn tie/track?? rod ends and worn balljoints.
Called a renault dealer there to find out prices for parts. He was telling me that there was four different types of steering rack on the 182's and I would have to wait find out which one it was before figuring out which tie rod end it was.
So it failed on the inner tie rod end on the nearside being worn and the front suspension ball joints on the offside are worn as well. I pretty sure these are just general wear and tear for a 6 year old car. K-Tec were telling me that they sell a complete wishbone as they dont sell the ball...
I think thats how much they are. Id say you wouldnt be able to get them much cheaper really. A renault dealer would be more expensive well in Ireland anyway.
Anyone know the part number its a long shot I know? Got under the car yesterday and couldnt see anything. Sent Milltek an email but they havent got back to me.
For the last while the exhaust on the clio has sonded like it has been blowing air through a leak somewhere. Went into a garage close to my house and they put it up on the lift and it was fairly obvious to see that the exhaust was sagging in the middle. The guy in there was lifting it up into...
Whats up guys signed up to this a while ago but have not posted before. Ive a 2004 clio 182 in black, have done a few things to it, uprated discs allround, milltek exhaust and an induction kit. Contemplating getting a remap done from fastchip or one of the others. And would like to get it...
