Hi all,
Long time since I've been here.
Pretty simple question; my 172 has been sat for 4 years without being started, its been sat in the elements in a parking space.
What are the chances of all of the seals in the engine being dried out beyond any chance of the engine running properly...
Could do with a brain storm with you lot please!
Took the car for an MOT last week and it failed on emissions, fitted a new pre cat lambda and all was good on the drive home. Left the car for a few days and now it's misfiring like f**k.
Have removed the inlet assembly and Bosch plugs, checked...
Listed on eBay, item number 110988745953
Cant set a link as I'm on my iPhone.
These are listed by me so if you're interested PM me.
Only listed on eBay and advertised here in this way as I don't have to host the pictures seperately.
Thanks
Probably a no brainer but I don't reall want a fail so, will a car pass an MOT without carpet in?
No visible floor damage etc, just referring to the lack of carpet.
Any of you track/road lads had problems?
Just seen this on Wheeler Dealers.
Basically does the same as the bottles of Redex but more thoroughly and can half CO and HC.
Anyone had this done or work at a place that does it?
As above, not working at all, have had issues with water getting into the car, thought I had this sorted but as we're getting pretty bad rain this week there's water getting in somewhere and I believe it's got into the wiring of the control panel some how and damaged it.
The control panel...
The horn on my 172 has packed up and its MOT time so I need to get it sorted pretty quick.
It's been hanging loose as the bolt that was holding it in rattled loose so when i removed it today i emptied about 2 shots worth (50ml) of water out of the horn. I tested it anyway just incase but all...
My 172 has failed its MOT today.
Failed on a couple of minor things and then the emissions. Values are quite high and so could do with some advice if possible?
Fast Idle Test :
CO - 9.42% Vol
HC - 953 ppm
Lambda - 0.73
2nd Fast Idle Test
CO - 11.66% Vol
HC - 1865 ppm
Lambda - 0.65

One of my Front bumpstops has broken on the 172.
So i've been looking for a replacement but can't seem to find one ANYWHERE!
Can anyone shed any light on this?
ECP Don't seem to do any and ive googled it and found nothing.
Many Thanks
As in the title who has the best track record on these?
The price different is only around £10 all in I believe so I'm not 100% sure who I wanna go for....
Thanks for any help.
I'm puttin my decat on pretty soon and as my exhaust keeps blowing with all the sealants/gums I put in i've been looking for some metal gaskets instead.
I've found this one on eBay but I dunno if the bolt spacing is right and whether it'll work well?
The join will also have a heavy duty...
Just seeing what everyone else thought about it today...
I thought it would be more spectacular with it being their 10th birthday and all. It was much like last year. I understand it's hard to make drastic changes to such a big show but it thought something would change!
The weather...
Just gauging interest on who'd be up for a RR Day?
Was talkin to Kevin.S about it today and so thought i'd see who else was up for one?
I've still got to ring around a few places but i think the general price ranges from £25 - £35 per car.
Will see how many are interested and then make a few...
Does anyone know what the thread size is on the bolts that hold down the Isofix bar?
Mine are rounded out (Hex Heads) and would prefer to replace them with standard bolts which can be removed easier.
Many Thanks
Right,
As some of you may have seen on here there's a pair of 421's up for grabs at £400.
With no plans to go down the iTB route as of yet I don't know what to do.
Do i go with the pipers @ £340, or the 421's at £400.
From the specs on line there's not much of a difference in lift...
Right, Basically my car is currently with Fred @ BTM having the PAS Pump done.
I'm actually chuffed i've taken it there as Fred has let me know about a few other issues with the car, Inc dephaser pulley, cracked alternator bracket and a couple of other issues to do with my Cam Belt change I...

What a remap that must be!
Have sent a question in.
Due to the bad weather lately i've made the extremely stupid mistake of holding the steering on full lock while driving for a long time and as such the power steering now appears to be fooked.
It's having varying assistance levels, sometimes it's hard to steer and then it'll go dead light at...
Had the car MOT'd today and as usual with french cars, it hasn't passed.
I was expecting a fail on the O/S Balljoint as i knew this was on it's way out but haven't been able to get a new one over christmas.
But it's also failed on:
* Parking brake lever, pawl mechanism pivots or their...
Does anyone know if there are any Aerodynamic CV boot kits for the clio?
I've seen this one in Demon tweeks but im pretty sure it won't fit the clio.
I imagine if one can be found it would solve the problem of constantly splitting boots as mine seems to have some metal sitting dangerously...
