I don't know why people go to so much trouble. Just go to someone with a clip or with the RsTuner with the airbag add on and slip them some beer tokens . . .
As said a lot of batteries are that little bit too big, you can grind down the back battery slot on the top of tray mount to get it a bit further back or get a new battery. Shouldn't really make much difference in performance though.
As for power delivery you've gone from cars that kick a s**t...
1.) Is your immobilisers working correctly
2.) Little black relays in box under bonnet check those
3.)Connection to fuel pump
4.)Fuel pump itself (very easy to change)
If your buying cars with that sort of budget petrol or diesel dont expect them to last more then 6 months, if you get a year out of them for that budget you have done well
