with the not starting , i have found that the batterys on these have to be 100% i have tried putting a perfectly good battery off another car on the 172 and wouldnt start just made the clicking noise as you say i would recommend putting one on it especially with winter around the corner because...

Hi i have an 02 plate 172 ,i have a breather pipe coming off the air intake tube with nothing connected to it ?? was wandering if someone could point me in the right place to look for the pipe that is meant to go on it ? i have looked but cant see it .... probably be right in front of my nose...

try this : lock the car and unlock it .. (with everthing shut) turn ignition on so just ignition lights on leave on for a couple of mins , turn off ignition ... lock and unlock again then try and start ..... think this resets the immobiliser .... has done for a few i owned anyway .. hope it...

it has grooved discs all round and different pads as they are red ? ... will get it up and running and see what its like , also when get details of previous owner will contact him and try and find out the full script ... cheers for the help guys ..

if it isnt a special edition at least the front end gonna be easy to paint now rather than the airbrushing ... ha ha
