Afternoon all,
Just seen this clio renaultsport 182 on ebay. Is it just me or is he over exaggerating the performance gains on his car.
Advert says that car is 205 bhp after having just a remap, decat pipe.
Morning guys,
Need to get my clio 172 booked in for a service, MOT and possibly have the belts changed as well as I have no paperwork with the car to say that they have been done.
Does anyone know of a specialist garage in the manchester area who could do the work???
Thanks,
Hi there,
I know this dealer well. I nearly bought a clio 182 from him 6 months ago. Only reason I didn't was that I decided to get a bigger car.
If he says the car is in immaculate condition then it will be. The one I nearly bought from him was spotlessly clean inside and out. It would be...
Thanks for that info. I was toying with the idea of getting a new headunit and was looking at the pioneer DEH-3300UB. Been offered one for £60 posted so money wise it sounds about right as well. :)
I nearly gave up on getting hold of a good clio 172 example.
Stick with it though and something will turn up. :)
There are a couple of nice clio's on ebay at the moment but they are not cup editions or mk1's.
I am not to sure about the looks of this new car.
Also looking at the photo below the clio mark 2 in my opinion looks so much nicier than the mark 3. The clio's are that big now that there is not much difference between them and the meganes and I thought that the whole idea of the clio was for...
After one of these decals for my clio bonnet so that I can hide the crease which is down one side. Cheaper than buying a new bonnet for the time being.
Morning all,
Since buying my 172 I have been looking at lods of old car reviews on good old you tube. I see that the renaultsport clio's always seem to get pitted against the civic type r and the toyota corolla.
Now is it just me or is it a little unfair to be comparing the 172/182 clio's to...
Morning all,
Is it true that you can modify the clio 172/182 engines to take a 197 inlet manifold.
Someone has put some clips on youtube with this modification fitted and says that it adds more power. First I had heard of it but to be honest I have been out of clio ownership for nearly 2 years.
Mine has only done it slightly. Thea heater vent on top of the dash has popped out slightly in a tiny section and wont go back in for some strange reason.
My list of things to do before the mods start is:
1 - take off the private reg
2 - respray the front bumper
3 - have a dent man out to remove the dents from the bonnet and passenger door
4 - buy a cd magazine for the autochanger
5 - get some car mats
6 - repair the alloy wheels where they have...
I thought it looked a bit saggy but it all seems ok.
I cant wait for the challenge to make the car a spotless example again. I have made a list now of everything that I need to do to acheive what I want and it should not take too long to acheive. I could not wish for a better example for the...
I see what people are saying. I did not know honda's chipped really easily either. Glad I bought the 172and not a type r then as I have £££'s left over for mods and tidying my car up. :D
Does anyone know how much a respray would be to the front bumper roughly???
And I thought the paintwork on my Subaru impreza chipped easily but it is a hell of a lot tougher than the clio paintwork. Oh well might just save up my pennies and have the front bumper resprayed.
The only thing that lets it down in my opinion and this is being fussy is that the front bumper and bonnet seem to have a hell of a lot of stone chips on them.
Evening all,
Is it just me or does the paintwork on our beloved clio's seem to chip very easily???
Spent the best part of this afternoon touching up the front bumper on my renaultsport 172 and I could not beleive the sheer amount of chips there were out of the paintwork.
Yeah the cup spoiler was an added bonus. The car also has a 6 cd autochanger in it and a toad cat 1 alarm system as well which was not advertised in the auction. Car is turning out to be a bigger bargain everyday. :D
Thanks for the comments. It is still classed as a low mileage car with 35k on it.
If I had bought the car 18 months ago it would have only covered 16,500 miles. The last owner has done 18,000 miles in it during the last 18 months.
