I'd want detailed pictures of the damage and the repairs along with a very low price and full service history. Very difficult to sell on, so unless it's a good deal just walk away, it could cost you a fortune if it's just been bodged back together.
I imagine by the time he's paid this finance off he'll be sick of clios and won't be wanting a cs.
They are pretty harsh on ocuk, but he has been tremendously stupid, paying well over the odds on a basic 1.2 clio with a huge interest rate. Very foolish indeed.
The only thing extreme about that is the price!
Who the hell would spend £10k on a 1.2 clio? Save your money until you can actually afford a faster car if i were you.
And you already have a 1.2, what's the point?
I've had a look through what service history i have. And i found a reciept for the service at 48k (from a non renault garage). From what i can see (the writing is fairly illegible) it cost £400 but i can see no mention of belts. I'm beginning to think neither of them have been done.
However...
Hello,
I bought my first car a few months back, and it had a couple of blemishes. A deep scratch on the bonnet, and some rust on the edge of the drivers door.
As you can see thus:
Now, considering i only paid £1100 for the car, i thought that taking it to a bodyshop to be...
I'm not sure if the two major services were done at Renault. The previous ones were, but the stamp for the major ones do not say Renault. I shall have to see if I can investigate matters when i get home. I'm assuming that due to the age of the car, all the belts should have been changed? This...
I can't tell what has been done on the major services, all i have is a stamp in the book and the mileage the service was done at. I can only assume that the appropriate belt was changed during the major services at 42/46k (timing belt?). But there is no real way i can find out.
Hello, i picked up a 99 1.4 clio as my first car a few months back. From what i can see the last service was done at 46k (around two years ago), which was a major one, and the one before at 42k says it was a major also. I'm unsure of what work has been done during these. At the moment the car is...
Hello, am trying to replace my sidelights with some Osram W5W. But i can't figure out how to get the old ones out. The fixing seems fairly flimsy so i didn't want to break it.
Can anyone help?
Thanks.
Hello all,
I'm tired of my crappy stereo and standard speakers in my clio. I thought that the Pioneer DEH-P6000UB looked pretty good.
So i thought at the same time i'd get a couple of new door speakers. However i have no idea what the standard size is in my 1.4 v reg clio, i've tried...
