I'm liking it a lot, handles awesome, plenty of power, still loads of fun to drive although not in the same way as previous Clio 172/197. Getting around 24mpg, which is not awful, that's on short runs 9 out of 10 times to work or Peterborough.

Has anyone driven a 182 with and without cup suspension? And is there a big difference? A local dealer has a 182 with only 20,000 miles on it, but neither pack. I realise what the packs are, just more to do with what it actually did to the suspension.

I tried search to find something on this, but is there much of a difference between a 182 with neither pack, and one with the chassis pack? I know the other pack was cosmetic. What did the cup do to the 182 chassis/suspension (I know it added the anthracite wheels)? I owned a 172 cup...

So insurance companies won't increase the premium loads because of all the mods then?! Plus the stupid cost of doing it in the first place. The point in an Astra SRi is that they are cheap and work. What is the point of your face?

They seem a lot more popular then the 197's were, tonnes of them on the roads around here.

If I was going to buy a secondhand one, I wouldn't get one without the cup chassis, so I would think about the resale too.

I had a 197, and a 172 cup, and have looked round a 182, I don't think I'd want an older clio that much purely because the interior is so cheap and nasty. There is little in them performance wise, but the 197 is more refined, and I guess maybe not so fun because of that?

I am sure you know him, Phil is probably getting a 200, so will be trading in his R27, however, means you could buy it from him at a good price instead?

How is £20.5k a problem for a car like the RS250?! It's a bargain, and a Focus ST cannot be compared quite frankly, the Focus RS can be however, and look at the price of that.

If the 250 is an option, then I'd always get one of those, they are awesome, test drove one the other day. Trying not to buy one myself at the moment, and to stick to the cheap shite Astra I have for a while longer.
