Morning all,
Well, the 182 got vandalised on my birthday (nice that ). Insurance have written it off.
Both wing mirrors have been ripped off, roof caved in and it needs a lot of glass.
I have the option to buy it back from the scrappy once it clears insurance. Spent a tidy sum on it...
Need a little help chaps :coldsweat:
I have no high beam at all - dipped beam works fine, and the blue icon for high/full beam is illuminated in the cluster constantly but when I pull the stalk it doesn't change on/off.
I've had a search and I initially thought it was the relay - but would I be...
Just been out for a blast in the car. Parked up for about 1/2 an hour while I did a bit of shopping. Came back to the car and it would turn over but not start. Tried it about 3 or 4 times and nothing.
Bit more detail - not sure how much is relevant. Dry day today so hasn't taken in water...
O.k, I have a 4 point harness to fit and need to keep the standard inertia belt and buckle for daily driving.
Rather than pissing about with removing pre-tensioners etc. i'm looking to fit a buckle like this...
Had my cooksports fitted today and the mechanic mentioned that one of my track rod ends had quite a lot of play in it.
Genuine track rod ends are £37 from Renault. I understand they are made for Renault by lemforder. Are these the correct ones for a 2005 clio 182 with cup suspension? ...
I've fitted my Scorpion SRN019 exhaust today (with decat).
Problem is i'm really struggling to line it up properly. At the minute it's bang-on central, but too high and is melting the plastic bumper cut-outs. If I lower it a little then the tail trims look wonky and lop-sided.
All mounts...
I'm doing a DIY wheel refurb on a set of scruffy OZ F1's. Halfords are about £7 a can for primers/paints etc.
Anybody know of a good place that does spray cans for a decent price?
Just found these on Ebay - are they any good? And would they fit a 182?

I have the SRN019 Scorpion exhaust system for the 182.
I believe the correct decat for this system is the SRNC019.
I ordered one from ebay earlier in the week and it's arrived today. Problem is the part number on the plate says "497 RN". Now I think this was the decat pipe to go with the old...
I'm hoping to get my hands on a set of 15" OZ F1's, but i'm a little worried that my 182 will look like a tractor.
Just wanted to see some 182's with cooksport springs running the OZ's. Most of the nice pics of Clio's on F1's seem to run coilovers.
Show me what ya got ;)
I've been lurking on here for a while so it's about time I started a project thread. Apologies in advance as most of the photo's were taken on a crappy camera phone.
This is my Clio 182 on the day I bought it from a lad in Chirk:
Car was in good condition and had a massive folder full of...
Looking for somewhere that does a drive-in, drive out job.
Had a search but mostly finding out of date suppliers (angelworks etc)
Also is it worth doing both upper and lower inlets on the 182?
I am thinking of ordering this battery:

Does anybody know if I would need to replace the wiring terminals? If so...
GSF do a decent set of mats for £25.
http://www.gsfcarparts.com/parts/body-exhaust/fitted-car-mats
If you use promo code "AUG25" then you get 25% off. Code works for everything, not only car mats. Although GSF are faily expensive for most things.
I'm shopping for a new exhaust.
Not overly fussed between the three brands above.
Best price I can find so far:

Can anybody come up with better?
Weathers on the turn so I need to give the clio a bath.
Have been using the carlack and collinite kit from CYC. Durability is great but it doesn't do much for the swirls unfortunately.
I'm looking for a paintwork cleaner similar to carlack that removes all the gunk but does a better job of...
I'll be getting both belts and dephaser changed in the next couple of weeks. Did ask the garage that will hopefully be doing the work about changing the water pump but they reckon it won't need doing.
Are water pump failures rare? Car has just turned 80,000 miles.
Logic tells me that surely...
Had a go with the 3M headlight restoration kit yesterday but i'm a little disappointed with the results. Headlights still looking a little dull. Bit of a rush job on my part.
Going to have another go today but I've got none of the cutting compound left. What can I use instead? Preferably...
My little lad is 4 and wants to sit up front with his dad. Problem is the seat he has doesn't fit properly in the bolsters of the front passenger seat.
Anybody use a front seat with any success? Good brands/models?
Good morning all,
Soon as I sort one niggle with the clio, another appears. Latest is that whenever I start the car the rear wiper will run continuously for a few minutes until it turns itself off.
Had a search on here and it doesn't seem there's an obvious solution...
Good morning all :)
When I fist start my car from cold there's a squeaking coming from the engine bay when I apply the throttle and come off. Cruising it's fine and after 5 minutes driving it goes away.
Would I be right in thinking i've got a sticky pulley somewhere? Or something else...
I've got one of these on order:
http://www.rapidonline.com/Electrical-Power/12V-18AH-SLA-Battery-HZB12-18-18-1172?utm_source=AffWin&utm_medium=Affiliate&awc=1799_1398939995_b1818765ada419b2a2415ffb643229a9
But just wanted to know has anyone mounted a race type battery successfully using the...
Been having a look through some old threads for weight saving ideas and removing the isofix bar seems quite popular. Apparently weights a bit.
Just a quick question - does it affect the rear seatbelts in anyway, or is it purely for attaching baby seats? Obviously don't want to endanger any...
Inspired by the "Nissan GTR" thread - who here has come back to a renaultsport clio after dabbling elsewhere?
I've owned some quick cars in the past (some very quick), but having bought the Clio 182 as a "stop-gap" i honestly can't see myself selling up and moving on for a good while. Other...
